Ryan Doherty of DetroitRedWings.com's "Hockeytown Blog" reports this afternoon that both Brian Rafalski and Dominik Hasek have been put on injured reserve in order to clear roster spots for defenseman Jonathon Ericsson and forward Mark Hartigan, who were each called up this afternoon.

Both players, who are already on their way to Detroit will practice with the club tomorrow in preparation for Friday's game in Calgary.

The IR status for both Rafalski and Hasek is retroactive back to when they first suffered their injuries.
