Defenseman Chris Chelios (chipped right fibula) will make his return to the lineup tonight as the Red Wings will have a full compliment of healthy defensemen for the first time since January 30th. The odd man out tonight is Brett Lebda, who was told he will be in the lineup for Thursday's game in Dallas.
Chelios will be paired with Andreas Lilja as the Red Wings' No. 3 unit against the Blackhawks, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press. The other two pairings would consist of Nicklas Lidstrom-Brian Rafalski and Niklas Kronwall-Brad Stuart.
In other injury news forward Tomas Holmstrom will remain out of the lineup as he continues to rehab from what is believed to be a groin inflammation. MRI test on Monday revealed no damage but Holmstrom doesn't want to run the risk of re-aggravating the injury, which has improved signifigantly since Saturday.
Holmstrom added that he was going to "rest for a couple of days" which would seemingly rule him out of Thursday's game against the Dallas Stars as well.
