(Updated: 5:05pm) The Detroit News and Bruce MacLeod are each reporting that Derek Meech will be in the lineup tonight as a forward to replace Valtteri Filppula, who is likely to miss the next two games due to a groin injury. Aaron Downey (flu) and Darren Helm, who is replacing Kris Draper (groin), will also play.
Draper hoped to be back in the lineup for tomorrow's game against Nashville, but it appears that the earliest he will return is Saturday against these same Blue Jackets.
