Forward Johan Franzen was honored by the NHL today as he was named the NHL's No. 3 "Star of the Month" for the month of March. Washington's Alexander Ovechkin and Pittsburgh's Marc-Andre Fleury finished No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Franzen exploded for 17 points in 12 games over the course of the month -- including six game-winning goals.
The red-hot Franzen has also racked up 14 goals in his last 13 games, good enough to boost his career-high total to 25 with three games remaining in the regular season.
