Head coach Mike Babcock told reporters following Wednesday's 6-2 loss in Chicago that goaltender Dominik Hasek will start both remaining regular season games for the Red Wings. Hasek's start on Wednesday lasted all of 7:52 before he was pulled as the Blackhawks built a 3-0 lead. Chris Osgood, who was originally slated to start Thursday, stopped 19 of 22 in relief.
"He hasn't played," Babcock told Bruce MacLeod. "You've got to get him in the game."
Hasek has made just eight appearances since the beginning of March.
