Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock joins Washington's Bruce Boudreau and Montreal's Guy Garbonneau as the three finalists for the Jack Adams Trophy as NHL Coach of the Year. Babcock is coming off his third-straight 50-win season as coach of the Red Wings, the first coach in NHL history to do that with his new team.
Babcock joins a long list of Red Wings up for NHL awards in June: Pavel Datsyuk is up for the Selke and Lady Byng Trophies, Henrik Zetterberg is also up for the Selke and Nicklas Lidstrom is a finalist for the Norris Trophy.
