If I remember correctly, he signed a two year deal after the lockout, so the benchmark for him was his '04 campaign, which was very good, but he's only gotten better since then. Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted March 30, 2007 (edited) Salo just got a nice raise. He's making 1.5 million this year. The next 4 years he making 3.5 per. I know how valuable he is, both defensively and offensively, but I would have preferred to see a 3 year deal at 10.5 as opposed to 4 years at 14 million.
