Top5/Bottom 5 list of current NHL Jerseys

Mine (I admit I am biased toward Original 6 and simplicity for the most part)

Top 5

1. Boston Bruins - I love the color scheme, the logo, the classic look.

2. Detroit Red Wings - Classic jersey- associated with winning(yeah I know, no Candiens on the list), kick ass logo and being my favorite team doesn't hurt.

3. Toronto Maple Leafs- again classic look, original 6, simple. I like it.

4. Call me crazy but I like the new(er) Oiler jerseys.

5. Chicago Blackhawks - yeah 4 of the 5 of my picks are original 6 teams, I can't help it, I still think they are the best.

Bottom 5

1. Carolina Hurricanes - I hate the little boxes at the bottom, dislike the logo and for some reason never liked the team.

2. Buffalo Sabres- Too busy of a design, dislike the numbers on the front, just doesn't say NHL to me.

3. Vancouver Canucks- While the new color scheme is a huge improvement I still hate that Orca. And with VANCOUVER on the front the jersey is just too crowded.

4. Nashville Predators- home jersey looks like weird t-shirts and away jersey is a little too plain.

5. Calgary Flames - to me it's just plain ugly.

Top:

1. Wings - You can't dislike the Wings jersey.

2. Dallas - Mainly for their dark jersey. Love LOVE LOVE it. I'm thinking about ordering a Turco dark.

3. Capitals - Old school meets new school, and I'm liking their children.

4. Coyotes - Kept the dark the way it was, and I love the maroon shoulders on the white. Neck ties also help the white.

5. Canucks - I liked the old colors, but the old school colors were great aswell. The new whale could use some green in it, but it works. I also like the VANCOUVER, adds some even older school flavor.

Bottom:

1. Flyers - The wifebeater over long sleeve shirt look isn't working.

2. Oilers - Looks too much like the RBK practice jerseys.

3. Flames - A little too busy for my likings.

4. Ducks - They got f***ed over in this deal. The bottom striping cuts off on the left side, the new color is horrible and their logo was shrunk.

5. Predators - Don't really hate their jerseys, but I couldn't think of a 5th one I didn't like. Preds can have this spot just for being them.

Mine not in any particular order, just the top 5 favorites and bottom 5 least favorites.

Top 5:

1. Detroit Red Wings- Always been a classic, best jersey in the NHL!

2. Washington Capitals- Love the old school colors with a improved look.

3.Columbus Blue Jackets- Big improvement, like the new logo too.

4. New York Rangers- Again a classic, love the Rangers going down the jerseys, colors are original.

5. Tampa Bay, like the new logo and jersey pattern, more of a "2000" style jersey, not bland and boring like there old ones.

Bottom 5:

1. Dallas Stars- What on earth were they thinking? Were not in the NBA, with the huge number below the name!

2. San Jose Sharks, The logo is pretty decent, dislike the old school style, and the added color of yellow.

3.Vancouver Canucks- I like the new (old) color scheme but the orcha and VANCOUVER above is horrific, they clash.

4. Flyers- My favorite team besides the Wings, and the completely ruined a decent jersey, just horrible looking.

5. Florida Panthers- The vertical lines clash with the horizlontal stripes on the sleeves, again just terrible, new designers please!

The Good

1. Washington (these jerseys just look great, admit it)

2. Islanders (sharp duds that look better on, these ARE pretty nice looking)

3. Detroit (could be #1 easy but how boring would that be? No real innovation)

4. Florida (they are pretty nice but they need to lose the dark stripe that divides the two red areas)

5. Boston (still very sharp with the update)

Honorable: Atlanta, precious few others

The Bad and Ugly

1. San Jose (It is hideous, same shoulder patch as chest a rarity)

2. Philadelphia (on the players these look so much worse than not on a player)

3. Ottawa (logo is big step back, just look cartoonized)

4. Tampa (not a bad jersey at all, the logo is the worst in the league)

1b. St. Louis (wowser those are ugly...you can move this up mentally if need be)

Honorable: Calgary is bad, not TOO bad. A lot of jerseys just look too similar with the stupid RBK templates, ex. Pittsburgh/Ottawa/TB have the exact striping shape. Los Angeles has that wordmark as does Van but at least the LA is stylized...Toronto's jerseys are too plain, they need the shoulder colors to do justice. Buffalo, still a very ugly jersey with an awful logo...at least make the damn Buffalo white!

Worst new jerseys:

1. "DALLAS" (home)

2. "VANCOUVER" (name of city on chest is ugly)

3. Flames (back is horrible)

4. Kings (Los Angeles on bottom is ugly)

5. Ducks (more of a name and no logo, similar to DALLAS)

i'm going to explain this one more time,...those boxes are hurricane warning flags. They're not just random boxes at the bottom of the jersey, it's almost clever.

Best:

1. Washington - I can't help it, the new jersey looks amazing - I'm getting a Backstrom one for sure...

2. Toronto - The next 2 jerseys have more or less the same place on my list...

3. Detroit - I love the winged wheel: it's beautiful

4. Buffalo - I like the new one but the old classic one is perfection

5. Minnesota Wild - the home jersey looks strange..but still nice - bit of an outsider really

Worst:

5. NYI - never been a big fan of that symbol - I like the colours but that symbol doesn't really do it...

4. Vancouver - it's ugly...but not thaaaat ugly...The text just makes it gross - the rest of it is fine

3. Anaheim - where's the duck?

2. Dallas - where is the star? I like the home jersey but without the star its just wraung

1. Atlanta - ew, the colour, the symbol I'm sorry but no - the white one is ok i suppose but that blue is just bleh
