ElCapitan 14 Report post Posted November 17, 2007 I have Zubov as one of my key defensemen. Last night he has 4 assists against Colorado and the Stars win 6-1. To my understanding, he was on the ice for 4 goals so the most he could be is a +4 for the game. Colorado scores 1 goal so if Zubov was on the ice at the time, he would fall to a +3. The box score for the game puts him at +2. How can this be? I thought +/- is based on the time you are actually on the ice.

I am pretty sure those don't count towards your +, only even strength or short handed counts towards "+/-"
ElCapitan 14 Report post Posted November 20, 2007 Thanks. That makes sense. 2 of his assists were on the PP.
