I know many people have wondered how many goals the Red Wings have given up during the final 2:00 minutes of a period. I was a bit bored, so I broke down the statistics. I charted the goals scored for and against during the final 2:00 minutes of a period during regulation (last 1:00 minute of OT). The stats are pretty close, for and against. Enjoy!

Not surprised about the Bert hate, most people have no knowledge of what actually happened in that incident and overreact. I forgave Bert before he ever came to the Wings. He made a bad decision with unfortunate and flukey results, and he paid big time for it.

Bert: (One of) the most hated athletes.

I dunno Konnan. I feel like theres a lot of people who wouldn't care if Matt Cooke;s career got ended right now. I see people say it a lot on here actually. Moore was just as bad as Cooke. The thing about the whole broken neck thing is that Bert didnt grab his chin and twist navy seal style to try and kill him. Bert got sick of Cookes dirty play, even when he had taken Naslund out, next game he came out chirping and playing dirty. He wouldn't face Bert like a man which is what you gotta do sometimes. And I am still a firm believer that the pile up broke his neck, not Bert. A dirty player who made plays that could've ended other players careers had his ended. He received compensation and is fine making a living. He is also not a cripple at all. I hold nothing against Bert for what he did

There really is no explanation for the Allstar reference. Just portraying him to think he's almighty and the best. Its not supposed to be some inside joke or anything. Gotta show my favorite one Allstar Heatley vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwt3BmO1BvU&playnext=1&list=PL47B9A22447B48BDD&index=6 BY far my favorite one of him haha.

Bert fell because Moore did? That's BS. Also, Bert slugged Moore with his right hand, and then grabbed his head with his left and forced him face-first into the ice surface. A good video that shows a couple different angles of the hit, and also shows the fact that Moore's hit on Naslund was not some dirty Marchment-style knee-hunting, but rather a race for the puck:

    Teams of the Decade?

....ahhhh, but even though the rows in an airplane are numbered 1-12 then the next row is 14, doesn't mean you aren't actually in the 13th row, because you are!

When you mean cheap pos; you mean like punching a guy in the back of the head? Oh wait, he was on a dominant line, and he is Bert so that isn't a cheap shot at all. In fact let's relish in his glory of being such a stand up player his entire career.

Behave or Matt Shorts will ban you all. Maybe Lids should win a Cup. It worked for Nik Kronvall. I haven't seen his name with a "v" since then.

Bertuzzi is a good player and I can deal with him being on the Wings. I still don't like him. What many of you have forgotten about the Moore incident is that Bertuzzi ignored his coach and stayed on the ice when he was supposed to have left for a line change, so that he could be on the ice with Moore. He then followed Moore around the ice trying to instigate a fight, while Moore ignored him and tried to stay with the play. Bertuzzi got frustrated, punched Moore in the back of the head, and drove him face first into the ice. None of that involves anyone other than Bertuzzi. It's not "the code" unless that changed from having to face fists if you threw a dirty hit to actually having to get injured; Moore had already fought in retaliation for the Naslund hit. Even given all of this, Heatley deserves more hate. He was driving intoxicated, through a residential area, and was going 50 mph over the speed limit. He was going so fast that his car hit an iron gate and SPLIT IN HALF. Dan Snyder, his teammate and passenger, was ejected from the car; he fell into a coma and later died. Heatley served three years probation as part of a plea bargain in which he plead guilty to second-degree vehicular homicide, driving too fast for condition, failure to maintain a lane and speeding. He is technically a convicted murderer, and rightfully so.

Right so I can Punch you in the back of the head, and drive your face into the ice, ruin your career, and be good to go in your book so long as I'm sorry and don't run a dog fighting ring? Right...

You, sir, have some very good insights. I do think his neck broke at the precise moment of head impacting the ice from Bert's one handed strength driving him into it, an instant before the pile piled on. Purely speculative, though. Can you imagine a coach or another player walking into Moore's hospital room and saying what half the people wanted to say; "Dude wtf was your problem? Why didn't you punch the guy when you had the chance instead or turning and skating away like a *****?"

    Teams of the Decade?

My point was that it doesn't matter. Even if you don't have a Year 0, calendars have been adjusted in the past. Who cares if the first decade had only 9 years, or the first millenium only 999? Does that matter any more than the fact some years in different parts of the world subtracted 10-13 days from the year when transitioning from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar? If there was an error in origin, it makes sense to correct it. In this case, it is almost certain that the basis for the AD numbering is incorrect, so what difference does it really make if we just say that a decade or century or millenium 'begins' on the more logical 0 year, if both are factually inaccurate? When Dionysius devised the AD numbering scheme in 525, he calculated that it was 525 years since the incarnation of Christ. Question is, did he mean that the beginning of 525 was 525 years after Christ was born, or that the end of that year would be 525 years. So even if you ignore the fact that his estimation was wrong, we still don't really know if he started at zero or one. Secondly and more to the point, as I said earlier, when referencing a named decade, it is common practice to include those years with a common tens digit. The 90s = 90-99. Whether or not that is actually the 200th decade of the AD calendar is completely irrelevent. [edit: decades did start at 0]

    LGW Fit Club

The Wii Fit is pretty good. The hula hoop game and the rhythm boxing are decent for cardio, and the yoga stretches are nice. The strength training is not so great, I've found. For strength it might be better to get a couple of small dumbbells and do a basic routine like this one: Building Muscle and Bone—At Home, On Your Own. When I'm really focused I can do that in about 15 minutes, but I leave out the step ups, because that's so similar to running on the elliptical. Another option for working out at home-- if your cable/satellite has On Demand, it should have a section of Free On Demand shows, which contain a channel called Exercise TV with a whole bunch of workouts to choose from. The catch is that the descriptions don't really say how advanced each workout is or if it needs any special equipment, so you might have to try a few before you find a good one. I accidentally picked one this morning that was way more advanced than I was ready for. Yow! I could only do about half of it before my legs felt too wobbly to do any more. They seem to have all levels of workout, though, if you can find the right one!

Do Maple Leaf fans deserve better?

It's pretty difficult. I always get sexually harassed at the entrance. I'd like to think it's because I'm incredibly sexy, but it's probably because I look Romanian and we are known to smuggle booze into church.
