I felt like after coming out with a lot of energy, the Wings just died at the end. It wasn't necessarily a matter of the Caps playing better, the Wings just looked sluggish, and the Caps were able to well, capitalize. Bad pun, I know.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw him talking about how much respect he has for Franzen and whatnot, and I'm thinking, isn't this the guy that gave him a two-hander to the gut? Though it seemed likely it was under coaches orders. they pull Kipper and then Mclennan goes right to work slashing Mule's leg even before the slash to the gut after the whistle.

I said put him between TWO players that can't do anything with the puck. Holmstrom is obviously ONE player. Zetterberg/Franzen/Filppula/Hudler/etc.-Datsyuk-Holmstrom - - - - - that's a good line. Bertuzzi/Cleary/Abdeklader/etc.-Datsyuk-Holmstrom - - - - - that's a bad line. your proposed line of Cleary-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi - - - - - that's a bad line. that's how you stop datsyuk. you put him in between two guys that can't do anything with the puck, and you make it a one on five game.

OK here's the deal if I remember correctly from when this was an issue with Dish. The NHL provides the feed for CI. They generally provide just the SD feed and its at the 'discretion' of the individual providers (DTV) to post the HD feed if they have it. Which is why you see most of the games in HD on DTV as they have the FSN HD feed in their lineup (and which is why some games on US feeds are not HD - think someone mentioned Comcast PHI). So if DTV pulls the FSNs, you'll still get the SD feeds from the FSNs on CI but no HD. Clear as mud?

It has nothing to do with Filppula. I just can't stand people who somehow take pride in being a douchebag and having people hate them. Both in real life or on the internet. Clear indicator of personal issues. But yeah, let's talk about Filppula. Great start for him so far and will likely get better. Pretty much the most impressive Wing thus far, shift in shift out. He's creating a ton of scoring chances and showing some slick moves. Has anyone noticed, though, that sometimes Franzen is taking the faceoffs when he's out with Flip and Hudler? I'd like to know what's behind that. Especially being that he's 60%+ in faceoffs and Franzen is in the 30s.

I don't think they actually want to trade thosr players, they just simply can't afford them. Look at the Indians in baseball, do you think they wanted to trade cc, cliff lee, and victor martinez? No they simply were too good for a small market team to afford so rather than lose them in free agency, you get what u can in a trade.
