I don't know how many times I've posted this- Brunnstrom has to earn that spot. He couldn't make the Leafs or Stars last season, and he needs to prove his skill. I'm glad we're giving him that chance, but that position should not be gifted to him- he needs to earn it and be better than Bert, Cleary, Huds, Homer, or Abby (assuming the second line remains as-is). Edit- He also passed through waivers.

So from what I gather is that there was a delayed penalty on the play and Murphy touched the puck, which blew the play dead and then he got blasted in the head by an elbow. 20 games sounds fair. As for "skating that fast around the net", well yah, you want to get to the puck first. I mean, that guy who through the check knew he was going to catch Murphy in a vulnerable position and like most youngins, he wants to throw that ESPN Top 10 worthy hit that everyone want to be talking about online. It's just unfortunate he did it on a touch up and threw an elbow to the head as well.

There is no need to come around that corner with that much speed knowing the defenseman will be in a vulnerable situation. He had an opposing player right behind him, which the player looked worried about, then to have this guy come around like that... no need at all.

I just realized why Sheldon Souray has seemingly revitalized his career. Because he's dating WWE diva Kelly Kelly. Don't know if he'll be a Norris nominee, but he should get some kind of award for this accomplishment.

Unless you're Lidstrom, some players do decline, and some do it quickly. There is something up with Cleary and he needs to have to earn 1st line minutes instead of it just being given to him at this point of the season. FILPPULA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What else do you think he'd say? "Ritola is a terrible person"? That really wouldn't be like Stevie. How many players outright refuse an AHL assignment? I know you're very attached to Ritola, sure. Wasn't it you who told me that he would be "bringing it" this season?

I feel so bad for Pavs, absolutely no help at all. Why doesn't babcock take Cleary off the top line ? hes brutal out there. Since the 2nd line is overloaded with good players, maybe move Hudler up or Bruunstrom ?

Lids is lighting it up, I love it. Hope his +/- is high this year, because then we are talking Norris trophy once again

Bingo Nope The colour red is a range of colour based on science that humans have adopted and defined. The true colour of red is fact. Your perceptive (based on eye sight, perception, interpretation etc.) can be coined an 'opinion'. However, that does not imply that your opinion is now fact. Just like in the example, the ball may appear to be blue to you but the ball has not become blue. It is still in fact red. Unless the ball goes through a physical change it's still red. Besides, I don't think you're sitting on LGW cheering for the Blue Wings...

I want three Norris-caliber defenders. Hell, I want those three defenders to be the three Norris candidates every season. I'd also like a first line that will put up over 120 goals per season and a second line that can put up at least 100 goals per season, and I'd like a third line composed of Selke candidates. But I'm not going to get that, because it's outside the bounds of what's realistically possible. And if I were to complain about it, my complaints would have no basis, because expectations of that sort would be very unreasonable.

I know our offense has been hit with quite the Avalanche of negativity lately, bet's hope that tonight the offense has official been able to thaw out of this nasty drift we hit in later October. Let's hope White is able to get a goal tonight because without big production from him, it's snow joking matter.

Drapers prime had him making Olympic teams because of his PK ability. I dont think average is how I would describe him at all, he was always one of the best defensive forwards in the game, one of, and probably the best for a while at PKing and was the best year in and year out on faceoffs. Average offensively for a third liner maybe

I agree with this, depth is good, but I think Detroit needs to acquire one if not two LEGIT 40-50 goal threats. Maybe they won't score 50, but they need to be a threat to score every night. Franzen is just no longer that threat. Sad to say, neither is Zetterberg. I sure wish they were, but realty says that they are not...

Actully no. If the ball is red, the FACT is that the ball is red. If you take that FACT and form an opinion from a different perspective and say the ball is blue, I wouldn't call that an opinion, I'd call it simply being WRONG.
