    A plea to Holland.

Holland has signed Ian White, Kyle Quincey, Carlo Coliacovo, Brian Lashoff since Lidstrom, Rafalski and Stuart have left. That's sad. Just a complete failure. Who is he going to sign once Franzen, Datsyuk and Zetterberg leave. This really scares me. Holland hasn't made a single good deal in 3 years

    Was Legwand worth it?

Gonna be fun watching Jarnkrok tear up the league next year all for a rental for the 4th line.

Funny how some people think Legwand got us to the playoffs. I don't think he made a difference whatsoever. Except for nailing Malkin in the nuts.

Wouldn't these be better placed in the "Rumors" section?

    The Franzen Hate.

No matter what this "mental situation" is he is still making I believe 4 million bucks a year. People who make 10 bucks an hour or less go through crap too but yet we suck it up and still perform at work. His ass has to go.

Jarnkrok was not our best prospect...Mantha is our best prospect.

Grand Rapids Griffins - defend the cup

Can we keep the bitching and moaning about the Wings roster to the multitude of threads devoted to bitching and moaning about the Wings roster?

    A plea to Holland.

Here are the players between the ages of 25 and 31: Abdelkader, Helm, Kindl, Miller, Quincey, Ericsson, Eaves, Weiss, Emmerton, Tootoo, Gustavsson, and Howard. ZERO top-6 forwards, 3 bottom-6 forwards, 2 top-4 defensemen, 2 goalies, an injured free-agent signee, and 3 guys we've exiled to the minors or traded away. Not exactly a core to build a team around. There's a generation gap here--all the top players are aging, this group in the middle, and some young up-and-comers who aren't quite ready for playoff success yet. This is the price the Wings are paying for years of success, low draft positions, and trading away first-round picks. Pretty much every good team is led by guys between 25 and 31. Detroit is led by guys over 31. They'll either have to trade for top players in that age group or ride out the youth movement for another year or two before reaping the benefits of it.

Sadly I owe 3.50- I wanted to owe MUCH more. I only had 5 bucks left in my paypal account after buying my kid a Datsyuk jersey so that's what I sent. Sorry I couldn't offer more.

Bruins play the man, not the puck on defense and throw guys down to the ice and don't get whistles, then on offense, they fall at phantom contact and get whistles. Embarassing. I am sad and embarassed I rooted for them to beat Chicago last year... guess my hate blinded me to their antics.

    Was Legwand worth it?

Legwand wasn't on the "fourth" line because he can't cut it as a second line center. He was on that line so give the team some balance to play 4th lines. It's not like the 4th line was only playing a few minutes a game here. They were getting 2nd line ice time depending on the game, dating back to the end of the regular season. But if you want to base your arguments solely off of looking at the lineup sheet, then go right ahead. Babs depended on that line to play a lot of important minutes in the series. You make it sound as if he was nothing more than a 4th liner seeing 3 or 4 minutes per game. Don't worry, Weiss will have you eating crow soon enough

I like how Jarnkrok is already being called the next Zetterberg after 12 games in the NHL.

Ended up with $31.66, I'll round to $32. Thanks again, I know the Children's Hospital will appreciate it!

I was only at $1 (lol) but I will round up to $10 (wish I could do more but I'm 20 and broke lol).

Mrazek has done everything he needs to do in every league/tourney he has ever played in up to this point. When he was called up for the Wings, he was as solid as anyone could expect of him. In fact, in the nine games that he played in this season, he posted a better GAA and save% (1.74, .927) than Howard and Gustavsson, and is tied for the team lead in shutouts with two. Granted, nine games isn't that large of a sample size, but the only way to get him more games is to bring him on as a backup. I think he has demonstrated that he is ready.

    A plea to Holland.

Still holland hasn't made a single good deal in 3 years. He appears to have no plan for the future for our forwards and has already failed our future blue line. Plus he has overpaid our homegrown guys. Getting over market value to stay with the team that drafted you and ensuring a mediocre squad for years to come. If we didn't have good scouting and drafting we would be the buffalo sabres.

f*** the Hqbs. Go Bruins. They were douchey against us, but I'm still pulling for them now that my Wings are toast.

That line-up is again way too soft and if people are furious with Franzen floating watch Vanek having one of his stretches. Matt Moulson for 4,5 not gonna happen the guy wants to get paid.

I hate them both. I hope both teams get popped for PED's and have the series cancelled and both eliminated.

$23 by my math but I'll round up to $30 since we only had one round.

I think this series showed the glaring holes in this Wings team. I do not believe Holland will do anything or enough to make the drastic changes that this club needs to be competitive again. That said I will never follow another hockey team. Still proud to be a Wings fan despite everything.

Dustin Penner says he's willing to entertain any and every offer he might get this summer because he needs a job. Ken Holland's latest reclamation project? A line of Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Penner could be interesting.

He's on contract through the end of next season. I guarantee he will back up Jimmy, they need to know what they've got in him before they 're sign or release him

    2014 draft thoughts.

Sorry guys, but our 1st and Almqvist is not going to get us a top pair Dman. Would you make that trade if you were the other GM? Of course not.
