This place is a community and I know there are a lot of good people here. I am a part of many communities, and I try to help people within them whenever I can. In my experience others try to do the same. It's nice. If someone reads my original post and thinks I'm nuts... Then I guess they won't help me. I did my best to be honest and sincere.

Hockey analytics will be the future, whether anyone likes it not; you are going into the right field. I am not saying people need to use them, and disregard watching players but it measures a player in ways that you cannot by using your own eyes. I use them religiously in Baseball and I can measure a players ability offensively and defensively just by looking at the numbers instead of having to watching a 3-4 hour game on a daily basis for 162 days of the year. I believe all sports will eventually have analytics in some capacity, although it's nothing new. For example in 1960 this was written by GM Joe Brown when Roberto Clemente asked for a raise. Joe was using analytics to illustrate why he didn't deserve one.

This is a little misleading. A lot of these prospects aren't known for physicality and many of them are Euros. Being tall by itself doesn't make you a force to play against. For instance, Drew Miller is 6'2, but he's not a tougher physical presence than the much shorter Tootoo. Franzen is 6'3, but has always played like a wuss. Guys like Callahan and Ferraro are barely 6'0 tall, and they play a physical style.

Another thing I'd like to see for the 15-16 season? The Griffins getting rid of these lame ass black uniforms they just unveiled. Can we all please agree to stop putting black in everything?
