Also curious what people think of this Cole Caufield, considering the success of someone like Debrincat. His goal scoring numbers sure are nuts.

Why has that biased buffoon Mike Milbury been allowed to commentate seemingly every game in this series? It's no better than having Ed Olczyk doing the Blackhawk playoff games. With one Stanley Cup win.

While I agree with that on games 4 and 5, in game 6 he stopped 49 of 51 shots. Nashville simply had no offence. You cant excuse that pitiful excuse of a power play, something like 0 for 15 in the series

Currently an RFA, can become a UFA next summer. If the Wings are interested in him, the smart play is to wait until next summer and try to sign him to a not-insane deal. That would mean we risk losing him to another team in a sign-and-trade, but, personally, I'm really not sure it's worth giving the Jets what they'd probably want. Specifically, I'm guessing the ask would be something like Mantha/Athanasiou/Hronek + pick/prospect. Maybe that trade makes some sense in a vaccum, but knowing Trouba can and probably will hit the market next summer as a free man, I just think it makes more sense to wait. If another team trades for him and we miss the boat, oh well.

Just wait and see how they act if they lose the series to Boston, again. I will enjoy it. Immensely.

I think Yzerman is a little more brutal. He fired a coach and hired Jon Cooper. I don't think Holland has ever fired a coach; not even Dave Lewis. Yzerman signed team friendly contracts with one of the best forwards in the league, the best defenseman in the league and the current best forward in the league. Yzerman seems to have a little more "it's my way or the highway" type of approach. Holland more or less is a bit more passive. I think Yzerman agrees with Holland in the sense that it's best to stock pile picks at this point in time. But beyond that I think Yzerman will be much better at cap management and cutting the bulls*** in the team. I.E if Blashill isn't cutting it, I bet he'll be gone within a year or two.

One thing Yzerman is superior to Holland is managing contracts and salary cap. Prove me wrong.

Pleasantly surprised by this series, so far. Dallas' top line is just overpowering the Preds, which is odd because in a lot of cases 1 line can be shut down in the playoffs. Dallas is capitalizing and playing a hard checking game as well as Nashville playing bad team defense in front of Rinne. Edit: Subban got burned on 2 goals. Yikes.

For the most part I agree, but they did have Eric Staal who at that time was a legit star. He scored 100 points that year, and was 7th in the NHL in points.
