Seems a little like another Abdelkader to me. Edit: You'll all remember Erne from his bout with noted Red Wings tough guy Andreas Athanasiou in 2017. It was a draw, so apparently he fights as well as Abby does too.

Good low risk move. Former 33rd overall pick, had 20 points in 65 games for Tampa last year (first full year up in the NHL) & still only 24 years old. Obviously it helps to know that yzerman knows what he's getting, but I like it. Why not? Knew it wouldn't be long before we got a player or two out of Tampa

I would love to have Kronwall as player/coach for 2 years. 20-30 games a year on the ice, 50-60 behind the bench. I like that dude.

Agreed on the Carlo comment. But Parayko? 28 pts in 80? 12 in 26 in the playoffs? Methinks Seider will at least meet your base expectations.

Craig Button said Seider will at least be a Brandon Carlo, so I´m fine with that. Seider is flying to Detroit today. Cholo was a little like Larkin in his first season. A real good start and then reality kicked in. He still looked very promising though. He just needs a bit more top pair minutes GR. Hopefully he will be in Detroit for good after the TDL. Hronek didn´t play well enough at the start of the season and was sent back to GR, where he really put the work and effort in to proof he belongs to the big club. Strong finish to the season and real good WC. He can develop behind Green on the second pairing and at the TDL move up to the first unit. I know a lot of people aren´t overly excited about this season, but I really am. We have so many exciting players in the pipes and it´s only 3 weeks till the Traverse City prospect tournament, where we get to see how much effort our youngsters have put in during the summer to make a case for themselves.

Pretty much. I don't disagree. My hopes would be entirely built on ALL the young guns emerging as stars. Could happen, but probably won't. I'm holding on to that could thou... Steven is certainly counting us out. Would love to surprise him, but he's probably smarter than me.

We still have a s***ty defense but I'll support this team through thick and thin.
