Good point. I definitely do sleep a little easier knowing that the arena I helped pay for, am being overcharged to enter, is both the product of public corruption AND is nice. I'm totally not bitter about that it at all lol. -

I feel like ownership and Stevie might just be on the same page with where we're at as a team. Kind of how I read that. Why be in a hurry to spend big and risk being cap strapped in a couple years when we don't even REALLY know what we have in a lot of our recent draft picks? Short term deals are perfect for us right now. -

I enjoyed him too. But, if he is going to keep getting banned with new usernames, when we refer to him, we should refer to the OG name, Number9. I remember before he came back as CRL, his first new name was GordieHowesNumber. Then right before CRL there was another reference to Christopher Reeve or Superman I do believe. I hope he isn't banned for good though, he did help keep this place active when most others abandoned it! -

He was 10x worse in Discord. Thing is, s*** posts like his will actively prevent many new users. Things will pick up as the team gets better again. Just the way it goes. We don't need him here deterring people. He already has long time posters questioning why they bother coming back here. But yeah, Lou is on crack if he thinks he can dump Boychuck for anything less than a first. -

Does anyone else remember his dramatic exit thread a few months back? Basically he was leaving us for Discord because this place was done. Since then he's had at least 4 sock accounts here and about 400 posts. lol -

Yeah, that's the challenge really, for any of these players who are more in demand. They have to choose between going to a possible contender or a team that is in the early stages of a rebuild. It's tough, but that's another reason why I feel Yzerman has done a very good job of attracting the players he has. Ryan, Greiss, Stecher, Merrill, Namestnikov... They all very much seemed to WANT to come here, to be Red Wings, and help this team grow. -

Glendening is not gonna get dumped like that. He's gonna be one of our most sought after free agents at the deadline. You want the highest picks possible at the deadline? You keep Glendening. Helm will fetch a decent return as well. Filpulla and Neilsen are who you get off the roster. Not glenny and helm.
