    Their forechecking is relentless. Gotta move the puck out cleaner and take advantage of the aggressive defense moving in.

    Finish them off! If the Red Wings can withstand the initial surge from Chicago and get to playing their game, I'm confident they can close the series out tonight. It's going to take a similar effort to the previous three games though because the Hawks are still a very talented team and will obviously be desperate to extend their season. So pumped for this to start. Let's Go Red Wings!

    How is it pessimism? Helm has played one game and change in over a year now. There's nothing to say it will improve either, since every time Helm attempts to come back, the issue flares up. The fact that nobody can pinpoint the exact problem isn't very reassuring either. I think a diagnosis should have probably occurred by now over the span of four months.

    Not significant as the other two, but it's still a loss. Big body, controls the puck and creates space. All of that is valuable in the playoffs. Bertuzzi is streaky, but so are Filppula and Franzen in the top-six.

    This is an eternity. Kronner and E should never leave the ice. EDIT: There it is. How are they getting in behind the defense still so frequently?

    Fil is really struggling again. Kronner has been excellent defensively.

    Nyquist and Jimmy brilliant so far this period. Hope Colaiacovo is alright. He has been solid, besides that ill-advised pinch there.

    Much better period than the first. Toews is completely unraveled, but the Wings have to keep playing physical against their top lines in the third. Forecheck hard and limit turnovers the rest of the way. I hope the refs don't try to influence the outcome. Chicago is getting away with a lot, so the Wings better not end up with some weak calls.

    Back injuries are very discouraging and they never truly go away entirely. I just hope Helm can make progress over the summer and into the fall for next season. Obviously his presence, combined with the development we have seen from other forwards, would make the Red Wings even more deep going forward. Imagine this team with a healthy Helm, DeKeyser and Bertuzzi.

    Haha, brilliant work on the GDT as usual. Fil and Abby as females is hilarious every time. I really like Patty Eaves on the lines too. I'm nervous about this one -- Chicago is going to come out in full desperation. Jimmy might see a lot of rubber again. I am not doubting the Red Wings ability to do this, though. Go Wings!

    ~100 consecutive sellouts. Have they not seen/heard the crowds at the Joe for the playoff games? Foster and Drew Sharp have never praised a Detroit team in their entire time here. I think both would prefer losing to support their viewpoints.

    Besides the obvious cup runs, this is the most fun I've had watching the Red Wings in the playoffs. This team is a blast right now.
