Seriously start Osgood next game, something to shake this team up.

I think that would make a perfect sharpie commercial for the small pens that clip onto the key chain. Show a clip of a kid on the ice asking OV for autograph, Kid has no pen. OV skates away returns showers him with snow and proceeds to board the kid. Show another clip of a kid with the sharpie pen and OV calmly signs his gear, and gives him an autographed stick. Marketing Gold!

CBC showed the rules DVD, given to the officials showing that a goal like that is a good goal. That was not a distinct kicking motion. I don't get how it has dropped this far to where angling your skate while stopping is a kick.

We have a 93 on our team, I see that number in the penalty box once in a while. My eyes must be deceiving me though, because I see no 93 on the ice.

You would think a person that knows how to hit, would know how to prevent themselves from getting hit that hard.

Way to s*** on the fans Wings. Try like hell to score a goal with 10 seconds left, but when the game is on the line with 10 mins to go, no where to be seen. What a joke!

Bring in Ozzie now, this one is done. At lease give ozzie some time to get the rust off so if the decision is made for him to start he can be semi-reliable.

I was just thinking the same thing. It's like the Legion of Doom in terms of officials that screw over the wings.

MTU_Huskies963 got a reaction from Original-Six in Steve Downie with another questionable play
People (mostly pens fans) are going nuts on this over on the HF boards. For this you have to look at Downie's past and Crosby's. Downie has been known to try these cheap shots, but crosby has been known to dive and embellish plays. I think this was a case of Downie trying to take crosby out along the boards lost his balance and tried to keep himself up by hanging on to crosby. Crosby feeling this contact fell to the ice, but was tangled up with Downie so Downie ended up crushing crosby's knee to the ice. It's really hard to tell how bad something is when crosby gets hurt. In the Olympics he was tapped in the head with a stick and laid on the ice like he died. Then this happens and he is back out on the ice 30 seconds later. I am not a fan of using a person's past to judge if it was intentional or not, when it is boarderline as this play. I guess Downie can be blamed for building up that reputation.
