Mentioned this in another thread but I think it's worth mentioning in here. I'm not sure why Wings fans dismissed Nabokov so easily. He's a former Calder winner who took a pre-Thornton Sharks team to game 6 of the WCF a few years back. He's an oustanding positional goaltender with a quick glove hand and was second in the league in shutouts despite sharing the duties with Toskala for most of the year. Expect more of the same. Sharks in 5...

Convince me why I shouldn't be dreading this series....

I noticed that too. There were a couple times when the Sharks might have been in trouble if the Wings player pulls the trigger right away. But give the Sharks a half second and they're back in position to block the puck... Well, that can be said about almost any team. And as your guys found out in round 1 (and Detroit found out last night), it's a lot easier said than done against the Sharks...

That's the key. The Wings got a lot more shots, but most of them were ineffective shots from bad angles or the point. And, as the Sharks showed last night, they block shots well enough to not fear the opposition scoring from the point with any sort of regularity... -
I think both teams played very well, and as I said yesterday, if both teams play well, the Sharks win. In order for the Wings to win they are going to have to figure out a way to get the Sharks off their game. Something no team has been able to do in nearly 2 months...

I gotta say this is going about as I expected. I called goals by defensemen, and even named Carle as one. I also said Grier would be a guy to watch out for because of his size, surprising speed and big game history. The Wings did look better after the TO but the 2nd period has been the Sharks period all year. Look for more in the second...

Wrong. I listed all kinds of things. But you weren't interested intalking hockey, just insults and persoanl attacks...

Oh, the joy was gone long before I got here...

Giving up already? I figured as much....

So, tell me. What exactly makes me a troll. The fact that I disagree with you or the fact that I'm right?
-
Wow, didn't take long for reality to set in here did it?
-
So, do I even need to say it?

And you sseem to be banking on your team's history pulling it out rather than the players on the ice. Apparently the numbers in the rafter will be playing tonight...

Wrong again. I dare you to find one single post that does anything but root for my team. Or, if you prefer I can go back and get some of the classy posts from you guys like 30 minutes after I joined. but then you won't want that will you. You prefer to make it up as you go along... never came in guns blazing. If you'd like I can get my first 5-10 posts and display them for you, complete with the hysterical and histrionic replies...

Wrong again. I have never argued that the Wings CAN'T win the series. I have argued that they WON"T win the series. Big difference. Sure I suppose the entire Sharks team bus could get hijacked driving thru Detroit's lovely streets before every game at the JLA, anything's possible...
