I will never understand why ALL hockey players don't wear face shields. Is it worth losing your eye/vision? Then you won't be playing AT ALL!

They're a bunch of whiners! Just ignore them. Don't give them the time of day...it'll just take away from our win!!! I DID get a little irritated.....OK A LOT irritated that Pierre McGuire (or whatever his name is) basically was kissing the Penguins butts! I mean could he have made it any more obvious that he was rooting for them!? It doesn't matter anymore though! HA HA! Sweet, sweet victory!! I LOVE THE WINGS!!!

Ya - the MVP trophy is a tough choice. Too bad they can't give two out! It's great to see a fan in another country! That's awesome!! I LOVE THEM!!! They totally deserve it! GO WINGS!!!

Agreed. Personally I think Dom should retire after the season is up. I'm not saying I hate him or anything, but he needs to think about what's best for the team, not for himself.... (I'm not implying that he WOULD be selfish about it)....

LOL! Totally agree! Man - could Pierre be any more obvious that he LOVES the Penguins and he wants the Wings to lose?? I'm so sick of listening to him. I can't wait to see the look on his face when the Wings win the cup!! GO WINGS!!!

If it goes to the Game 7 it's because the refs want it! I swear the refs make bad calls against the Wings! There's at least 2 or 3 bad calls against the Wings in every game.

Agreed. I kept yelling at the tv for them to keep pressuring, but they obviously didn't hear me. GO WINGS!!!

Amen brother! I was going off about the refs myself. I have to admit I did get mad at Hudler for getting that OT penalty, but it doesn't mean I think he sucks. I still LOVE the Wings! We just all have to calm down! Breathe..... The Wings need to calm down as well and play smarter hockey. They were a little too high strung in the 1st. GO WINGS!

Agreed. I also got a little overconfident and assumed it was "in the bag". But - I agree, we need to get behind our team and help them defeat the Penguins! They can do it! What really irritated me though was when the refs called those two penalties on the Wings in OT that clearly were NOT penalties! UGH! GO WINGS!

Ok seriously. I was REALLY ticked off tonight after they won. But now that I've calmed down enough to where I can think/see straight, it was a tough game all around, for both teams. The Wings didn't look their best. Actually most of the game I was quite concerned. The Penguins looked - I hate to say it - pretty good. It's hard for me personally to come to grips with the fact that the Wings aren't perfect. I mean I think we ALL have high expectations of them. They set a high standard, so we don't expect anything less, but they AREN'T perfect! Everyone needs to calm down! They're still our RedWings and we love them win or lose, right?! The only real gripe I have is against the Refs! Is it me or were there calls that should've been made on the Peguins that weren't? Like the interference/hooking/tripping (take your pick) call that should've been on the Peguin against Holmstrom when he twisted in the air and flew into the net?!?! I guess, since it's against Holmstrom, it's ok. There were numerous would-be penalties that SHOULD'VE been called! Anyway - I LOVE the Wings! They are still the greatest NHL team EVER!!!! GO WINGS!

I agree. It's not always the most talented that wins it. It's the team that wants it more! Look at how we couldn't beat Chicago during the regular season. We have SOOO much talent that sometimes I think that the Wings feel like they don't have to try as hard because we have so much depth. I'm thinkin' we also need Franzen back. GO WINGS!

I'm a little nervous. We need Franzen!! I do agree we need to change something because obviously what we're doing isn't getting it done! I wasn't too impressed w/ Chelios. He's made some dumb mistakes. He's cost us goals before this too! Defense is great, but defense won't win games! Remember - assuming we win this series - we still have to play even better in the final round to win the cup! GO WINGS!

I was just thinking the same thing! How funny! That's part of Holmstrom's defense. When he's standing in front of the goalie he just lets one fly......the distraction of the smell is too much for them!! GO WINGS!

I just love Datsyuk. He is so awesome! I'm most impressed with his 144 takeaways! I LOVE watching him play. He is such a skilled player. Quite incredible! GO WINGS!

A few people I've been talking to have a theory about that game. They said, "I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit didn't try as hard to win that game, so they can win at the Joe." It would help ticket sales...the home crowd would love it to take the series in Detroit! GO WINGS!

You guys....personally I WISH I could have the OPTION of turning down going to an NHL game where I live. I am so jealous of all of you guys who live near a town or IN THE SAME STATE for that matter, with an NHL team. Wisconsin has NONE! You should be thankful that you at least have the chance to go (should the chance ever arise). Anyway, I'll be peeled to my tv Friday night as the rest of you, I'm sure, will be. I'll be praying the Wings play a solid, strong game with no mistakes. GO WINGS!!

Have you ever noticed how, whenever announcers or commentators talk about Chris Chelios, they always refer to him as, "Chris Chelios-Who-Is-Now-45"?? So, in honor of this sanctimonious (is that a word?) event, we ask that he petition the courts to legally change his name to "Chris Chelios-Who-Is-Now-45". To all you hockey commentators out there: Yes, we know he's 45! We know he's the oldest NHL player right now! We get it!! (think Austin Powers - "I get it, I have bad teeth!") I think I'm done now.
