Put the blame on Shanahan. He set the bar for the playoffs.

Shanahan has no credibility in my book after the bad decision he made regarding the Weber/Z incident. They keep going back to the "soft" punch to the head and completely ignore the head slam so I have no faith that any thing will ever change. The playoffs are in their minds a whole different game. Headshots/cheap shots in the playoffs seem to be fine to the NHL.

Ok this is all I'll say about that in this thread, but I can understand why he didn't because he knew that there was no way in hell that he could come off believable explaining his decision while that video was shown. Shanahan, you're a coward. You're just as bad as Campbell was when he was in that job. -

So Jones thinks there will be a suspension because Karkner punched Boyle hard in the head unlike Weber who didn't hit Z with that one punch very hard. Ok but what about the damn head slam????? But wait Boyle isn't hurt, in fact, he got in another fight. Boyle did the Maltby ragdoll as far as I'm concerned. -

All I can say and have said not necessarily on this forum is E should have been playing with Lids a long time ago. He needs to learn from the best of the best and you definitely see that. Okay all you fans going to The Joe I want to hear some TODD BERT-TUZZI chants. He deserves it! -

If NBC and the other networks were smart they would have started the Wings at 8 and then we could have at least watched most or all of the first period of the Pens/Flyers game.
