Jersey is awful for this. At least their team is decent to watch, but the years they missed the playoffs, all of the self-described Devils fans were like "we're not in the playoffs?" Way to pay attention... I go to games out here when ever the Wings come through just to catch up with random wings fans, so I can get a brief whiff of coherent fandom...

6' - 210 and can skate backwards, unfortunately I keep a beard (or goatee) year round, so I can't play center. Maybe I can be in one of the defense pairings... Bad news guys: No need for a 4th line in the Eastern Conference... Maybe that's good news for those of you that want to ride pine...

I don't want to say the games are rigged, because why watch if they are, but seriously, this isn't OT in a Game 7, penalties are OK... And they're ok in OT in Game 7's too... Rules shouldn't change because the game is more important!

Hey all! What a win! So excited! Anybody in the NY/NJ area know a bar that will have the game Saturday? A friend and I want to socially enjoy the Cup Finals. I can't think of a single bar that plays hockey, let alone fills up wit local wings fans. Would love to find one. Help!

Well, unfortunately in NJ, I don't know many that would switch a TV from Yankees baseball for two idiots in Wings jerseys... 7:05 start for the Yankees against Cleveland. 8pm for the Wings...

The part that bugs me about the whole thing is how much celebration is given to Pronger when he was suspended twice through the course of the playoffs... Fell how you want about it, but loses his cool and attacks guys on the ice with intent to injure, and is still paraded as a hero who does what he needs to in order to bring home the cup, F- That... Bettman's 'new NHL' seems to have a short memory... Although Bettman is the guy that thinks we're rivals with St. Louis.... -Joe

Figured i would make this the first post of mine. I've been viewing for awhile, but never jumped on... I'm in Jersey now after doing two stints in Kalamazoo, MI when i was a kid... Watched Hockey, but my Mom (being from Boston) was a HUGE Bruins fan (heck back in the days of Oates and Neely, they were exciting) and my Dad (being From Chicago) being big into the Blackhawks, I guess it was part of my rebellious youth that got me cheering for the wings... I have always owned red cars (not for the wings, just love red) and they always look great with my Rutgers Alum sticker on one window and a Wings logo on the other.... So i could say i have been a fan since my second stint in MI starting in '93 and watching it on PASS, IIRC, at the time... -Joe
