Is anyone worried that we have not signed any of the 4 ufa yet?
Swayze replied to Curban915's topic in General
Popeye's not a Pirate, he's a Sailor (as for the UFA's, I trust kenny) -
I played roller hockey for 5 years when I was a little younger, I've been playing street hockey for a looooooooong time and I still do, wanted to play ice for my high school, but we owe'd the arena here $4,000 for screwing up the ice or something like that, and now i'm going to get back into playing roller hockey and possibly ice. I miss hockey

They were probably in the middle of changing the pic from http://cdn.nhl.com/images/upload/2007/06/f...nside062107.jpg to http://cdn.nhl.com/images/upload/2007/06/f...nside062207.jpg

He scored 3 short-handed goals, sounds like he'd fit in here fine

Agreed, but as a fan. I'd wear them if I was playing hockey, but if I chose one to wear for going to a hockey game or just to wear in general, it'd definitely be the old style. Of course this is kinda premature, considering I haven't wore a new one yet

Youtube compilation video . ...and for all the haters, .

I know we're gonna see most of the new ones in 30 minutes anyways, but my friend pointed out Boston's new jersey to me...right on their website. Edit - Guess i'm really slow, they had even more pics of it in the Boston New Logo thread.

Yep, 1st round is tonight at 7.

...and what about the wings fans? how many of them are seriously gonna desert their team to support a brand new one (or re-located "rival")? I seriously can only see them selling out games if they're playing the wings.

Random post because I have too

http://blog.mlive.com/flintjournal/savaget...hange.html#more To sum it up, Toledo and Pt. Huron are getting new teams, and the UHL = IHL now...and the Generals officially have new owners

Sorry if this has been posted already, but here's an article from 30 minutes ago on NHL.com: http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=31821...mp;service=page

On the UHL's official site, they said they're going to announce their future plans live at the annual meeting next week, which will also be broadcasted on the internet. Here's the link: http://www.theuhl.com/index.php?option=com...49&Itemid=1

I'm glad Kunitz got to win the cup, he's one of the only Ducks I actually like (as opposed to 9 in which I at least dislike).
-
I like this one, but it reminds me of something Germany's olympic team would wear

Ummm....hmm. Well, the IHL has been dead since like 01', and the UHL now has 5 or 6 teams the last time I heard, due to Rockford going to the AHL, Elmira to the ECHL, Chicago going under, something about Quad City's rights being bought out so the Flames AHL affiliates could relocate and become the Quad City Flames (still in the AHL), and Port Huron appearantly going under (althought i've heard nothing official). Basically I haven't saw or heard anything on it, and it's not on the UHL's official site or Wiki, even though Wiki isn't the best of sources, so yeah. If this is true it seems like a good idea, at least I always saw the IHL as a more prestige league than the UHL/CoHL. Maybe someone else on here heard something about it?

I remember I was staying the night at a friends house, up late of course, and my friends dad comes in and tells us the bad news. I remember just having this really bad feeling in the bottom of my stomach. The odd thing is that for my family Friday the 13th's are usually lucky days (i.e. - my brother and grandfather were both born on Friday the 13th), but this was the only bad thing that's ever happened on one that I can remember.

I'm pretty sure they're talking about the parking garage right next to the Condo's, which is right on Jefferson if I remember right. If you get off at Jefferson from the Lodge (pretty much at the end), you'll probably have to turn around to go East, then the parking garage is on the right. lol I hope at least some of that made sense. Edit: I got bored and made a map Also, i'm not exactly sure if you can turn around like that on 6th, but basically just the first place you can do it, do it.

I do not, and that's because I've been mis-informed. For some reason my dad said it was Shanahan's first game as a wing, but it wasn't. The first one I went to was October 21st, 1996 (and yeah, his first was when redwingslady87 said it was). I got bored and found the score sheet for it too http://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores96/96295/96295309.htm Also for every game in 96-97 if anyone cares: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/shn/shn607sc.htm

Maybe they're not allowed to do an actual V since they're not owned by Disney anymore

same first game as me

Mine was October 96' against the L.A. Kings, Shanahan's first game as a Red Wing. He scored his 1st goal as a Wing in the 1st period, but my dad was stuck in traffic around Troy and we missed it, but I did get to see he 2nd goal and Yzerman's goal (they won 3-0). I remember parts of that game, but I remember my 3rd game alot better, it was later that season on March 26th.
