    Canadians may be shopping Subban...

Got a link to the offer? So Subban 'may' be something special? Perhaps we don't a like minded idea of what 'special' is. He's already won a Norris trophy. I think he's already pretty special.

    I apologize ... I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not.

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

They're both small. Any other similarities? No one here could say with 'great certainty' that the Ukraine isn't a great place to live either. Doesn't make it so.

Please tell me you're not judging a player on a 2 game sample size. Serenity now!

Are we really in for Kesler?!

I heard last night that Kessel only had one nut and didn't start a thread about it.

Are we really in for Kesler?!

There's about 50 pages of discussion about Kesler in the two other threads.

Yes, no one said we wanted him whacked.

Not to disagree on Helm's importance, but Kesler is hardly "temporary help". I also don't think Helm is untouchable or irreplaceable.

    Datsyuk vs. Zetterberg

Zetterberg is better only if you disregard: Their similar career scoring production. Datsyuk's 3 Frank Selke trophies. Datsyuk's 4 consecutive Lady Bing trophies. NHL player's god-like regard for Datsyuk. But, Zetterberg's English is better. Z's a great player. He's no Pavel Datsyuk.

    Question about Mantha

Patrice Lefebvre, Patrick Emond and Normand Dupont. Household names, right? They are 3 of the top 4 all-time Quebec League points leaders.

McLaren costs you a roster spot and can't play hockey ... much the same as every other punch drunk dinosaur you've wanted the Wings to sign. @#pleasesignthenextfighteronwaivers

But Fraser McLaren somehow is? Be a shocker if he was dealt. The plot thickens ...

    Question about Mantha

It's not just a crapshoot, it's literally impossible. Many players have put up crazy scoring totals in the Quebec League, even at young ages and haven't done a thing in the NHL.

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

Here's ESPN's Pierre LeBrun thinking out loud: Again, my words, not Holland's, but center Ryan Kesler to me is the type of player whom the Wings would definitely have interest in, if the price was right. He's signed past this year, he's a two-way stud and he's a Michigan kid. My sense is the Wings will keep an eye on that situation in Vancouver between now and Wednesday's deadline. If what Vancouver is asking is too high a price for Kesler, then I don't see Detroit as a player in that mix. But if the price comes down and something makes sense, I would think the Wings would keep tabs on that one.

Lebrun is just throwing out names, hoping something will stick.

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

Trade deadline time: (thought process of the Wings "fan") All the other teams players are awesome. Wings need them all. Most Wings players are expendable. ... honestly, if these players were all so important, they wouldn't be "available". Most "fans" just want trades for the sake of trades.

After this season, James Shields will be a 33-year old starting pitcher, and Myers will be one of the best young players in baseball. The KC Royals will still have won absolutely nothing, and Shields will be somewhere else And Dayton Moore, not "Dayton", he'll be a salesman at Bill's Sporting Goods.
