Downey was a pretty good scrapper when he played for the Stars, although he didn't contribute much in the way of offense. One of my favorite Downey moments came in Raleigh when he knocked out Jesse Boulerice with one punch, that was the most one-sided "fight" I'd ever seen.

He's back with the Denver Post after a stint in New York with ESPN. I watch Around The Horn whenever it's on because I DVR it for my husband.

Tom Hicks does own the team from Liverpool, I believe it is. I'm not sure, though, as I'm not very big on soccer. I knew I'd seen them before! I doubt those are it, myself. I also post over at the official Stars board sometimes, and the moderator over there said that the new jersey design will be unveiled in September, just in time for training camp to start.

All 30 team sites are being re-designed in conjunction with the introduction of the new jerseys. At least that's what I heard, am I wrong?

If I were Kenny Holland, I'd steer clear of Eric Lindros. One can argue that he's a decent player if/when he's healthy, but that's a rare occurrence. Plus, when he did play, I thought he was a liability and his defensive skills were questionable at best. If Holland's still determined to sign him, I'd expect him to be signed at the league minimum.

As far as I know, the Stars haven't released theirs. That one probably won't come out until at least September, when they're done signing all of their free agents.
