As much love and support as I have for this team and organization, Detroit would get spanked against a team of all the leagues all stars.

I went, definitely reccommend it...I believe it's Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 and 2. Non event days only. It's $6 per person. I went at 10 on a Wednesday and the Wings happened to be practicing at 1030, I don't know how I didn't see any of them walk in but we did get the chance to watch them practice for about 5mins which was awesome. The tour takes you all throughout the arena from the basement to the roof. Very informational and interesting. You also get a gift bag at the end.

I work a sales job right now and would definitely do it if I didnt live in Canada. The face-to-face meetings would definitely be tough to arrange but working for the Red Wings is a dream for sure.

the away team bus is next to the main entrance to the joe (one facing the river). There is a security gate and also a few security guards. The only thing i can think of is going one of the guards right after the game and asking him. tell him your from buffalo or something.

Jo on a tour of JLA. They are every Wed and Fri at 10 and 2 on non event days. Someone from the Marketing field will be giving you the tour. It is a personal tour so you can ask him/her all the questions you wish. On top of that it's only $6 and the tour is pretty fricken' sweet.

I agree. For only about half the arena being full with a minute left, that place was LOUD! It was definitely great to see the Wings get the round of applause and standing ovation tonight. The deserved it for DESTROYING the best team in the league. We needed to show them what winning a Stanley Cup takes and we handed it to them. Keep the ball rolling boys! Great W!

My sister was selected from the draw and she just bought her tickets today. I will post an ad in the ticket session by today for sure. She is not about to go so she is selling them. She is asking for more than she paid but it will likely be a better deal than what others have offered on eBay and stubhub.

The Wings would never go to a different city. However, on a recent tour of the building, the tour guide was more than suggesting the idea that by the end of this year a decision will be made as to whether they are going to renovate the arena, or build a new one. He did not but any means suggest building the arena out of town. I'm not sure if this input really means much but he works in the marketing department and he may know a little about the situation; definitely more than any of us (for the most part).

Great story! You're a pretty lucky guy if I might add. I met Stevie once and it was a similar type impression. He is really a down to earth guy. There was a ticket discrepency to one game I went to with my sister and girlfriend. They brought us downstairs into this seperate ticket office. Out of nowhere the door opened and he walked in casually. I kind of looked at him in awe and let out a "Steve Yzerman?" He calmly asserted "Yeah." Then has asked us how we were doing and I shook his hand but he seemed kind of busy so I didn't hold him at all. Extremely jelous that you got the luxury of having a conversation with him. As for the suite, when I went on the tour (which I highly reccommend all of you do) they took us to the third floor with the super suites. The one on the right is Illitch's and the one on the left I'm assuming is the one you guys had. I never would have thought people who rented the super suite would receive an invitation into Illitch's. Also never thought it would come with a meeting with Stevie Y and and Mr.Holland. That's just awesome man. As for prices and availability. The tour guide said that Illitch sometimes keeps it for himself when he has lots of guests visiting. Also, due to your eperience I'm sure major companies buy them out every so often as well. I believe the price mentioned however was in the $2500 range. However, if you can get a group of friends, can't remember what the limit was, this isn't so high of a price for a once in a lifetime deal. I'm not sure if what Hank experienced is an everday deal for the people who do rent out these boxes but I've sat in a luxury suite before and I can tell you, the overall feeling of being VIP is worth the ticket price itself. Congratulations on the experience, Hank! This whole board including myself are all extremely jelous I'm sure.

I don't know if McCrimmon deals with our forwards much but in terms of defense issues I find the forwards more responsible. As for injuries, Zetterberg was out, Franzen was out, Cleary was out, Lilja's been out, Chelios' been out, All have affected changes to the second, third, and fourth lines. Yes there should be some chemistry and there is, it's just not enough to maximize our full potential.

Don't forget, our lines are getting shuffled left and right due to injuries. IMO, all the lines except the first could use a little more chemistry between each other. When you throw in a player as big as Hossa, expect changes. The reason this is taking so long is because Babcock hasn't gotten the chance to work with a completely healthy unit. Cleary is day-to-day and Chelios will be back soon. Defense will come. You guys just need to be greatful we do have a winning record right now and quit crying. You guys need to be grateful what we have because even though we haven't given teams a brush of our potential, there are teams playing s*** hockey playing to their full potential. Be patient. This was on the other night. I was too tired to watch it so I just recorder it to my PVR. I've been really busy though and haven't had a chance to watch it all myself yet.
