This is just an opinion, so don't shoot me. I think these players (Schnieder, Bertuzzi) went to Anehiem because they hated Babcock. I think you'll see a trend in Detroit for as long as he's here, where players will leave as soon as they hit free agency. Of course there will be exceptions. I expect Markov to go, and Hudler to leave the country. I think even Hasek is having second thoughts. I think he really pissed some guys on the team off.

I totally agree. This game should not be a judgement on whether either team played well or not. This game was so poorly called, and alot of dirty play was not called either, that this cannot be used as any sort of benchmark. I am estatic for the win and happy for our wings. New refs=new games. The refs last night disgust me.

This game is finito. It pisses me off because I know they can play better than this. There's always next year. Go Wings!

I fear calgary head hunting. I think Samuelson should stoop to their level and flatten Kipper. That would be good in 2 ways. Kipper would be out, and Samuelson would be suspended.

Here are some facts: Calgary played horribly through games 1 and 2. Detroit played horridly through game 3. Calgary and the refs played awesome last night. The momentum has indeed changed. We are on the ropes. Babcock is clueless (Sammy on the point? Lang logging major minutes? Taking the clutch time away from clutch players?) I say unless Lids has a good long talk with the guys and gets them on the train, this sucker is over. The last two games prominately displayed who wants to win more (and that includes the guys on the Wings who WANT to win). The Calgary Flames vs. Cleary/Draper/Franzen is not fair. The rest of the team must sacrifice and stand-up... or this is the LA series all over again. They have opened the door to Calgary. Next game is MUST win.

If I were worth 6.7 million/year, I would prolly take it easy until the playoffs.

I went to a Goaldiggers vs. Indianapolis Checkers match in 77, and there were 12 fights in that game. They had to stop play for 20 minutes to clean blood off the ice. It was insane.

Great news, however... Zetts sounds like he won't be back in time for playoffs. This is scary. The possibilities to have 3 HOT lines going into the playoffs: Hank/Dats/Homer, Calder/Lang/Hudler, Franzen/Draper/Bertuzzi would be awesome. I fully understand bert would goto the second line, but if it's working, then don't fix it. The speed of Draper would compensate for the lack of speed from bert and Franzen/Bert on the same line would be a wrecking ball.
