If we play the Pens, I like our chances against them and if we advance, we play the winner of Rangers and Philly, which I also like our chances against. So lets hope the Wings keep on rolling right into the playoffs.

Babs said after the game last night he wasn't sure if he wanted to play them back to back... depends how they feel. IMO this is a huge game tonight and, based what I saw in the game, there is no way pav and alfie sit tonight out. They both looked good last night, and I thought Pav actually had more jump in the 3rd, so no reason to sit him out of this big game.

We killed the Sens last time we played them too. The Habs are a good team, but I do not fear them they are nothing compared to the Bruins whom we just beat. If the Wings bring their game, they get a huge W tomorrow night.

If Alfie plays I want to see: Nyquist- Legwand- Franzen Jurco- Sheahan- Tatar Datsyuk- Helm- Alfie Abby- Glendening- Miller OR if the top line is lacking switch Franzen and Pav. Either way, we have 3 lines that can consistently score for the first time in quite a while.

Apparently Alfie is expected to play tonight, but that won't be determined officially until pre- game skate. I am glad that it isn't anything too serious, but I would rather he sit out again tonight, and be energized for Habs tomorrow night. If he does play tonight, I want him playing with Pav and Helmer.

Right, but if we win tomorrow night like expected, then we go 3 points up on them if they lose tomorrow night. IF they win tomorrow night and we win as expected then they remain 1 point behind us... but the fact is, if we take care of our own business, we will remain ahead of them. Ideally, we win tomorrow night, Columbus loses and Washington loses.

Leafs got two very lucky goals they had a zillion bad turnovers. Its almost as if their entire group of D is composed of a bunch of kindls haha.

Kindl preferred out... He's awful at least lashoff plays a simple game.

I like that pav is with helmet and Abby as that way there the Gus line and kid line gets to stay together and then come playoffs pav will be playing with hank and Alfie

No wait til the following day against the Penguins. We won't need him as much vs the sabres, and getting alfie back on a back to back against the Pens will be nice (I am sure they will remember his big goal last time we played them haha).

I completely agree. Without Crosby, the Pens would still have done okay. At this point, if it were not for Nyquist, we are not in the playoffs hunt right now. Nyquist is literally the most valuable player to his team out of anyone else in the nhl at this point.

Franzen looks pathetic out there. He isn't even trying he is making stupid passes and is easily giving up on plays. I want to see more kid line in the 3rd and maybe get Nyquist out there with them for some shifts. Come on wings let's get at least a point it's not pretty but we are still in this.

Babs defs needs to start playing the top two D pairings more and the 3rd pairing less. Remember the days where our top pairing (I know it was lidstrom but still) played 26-27 min a night? If you do that and have the 2nd pairing play around 24 min then that gives kindl and lashoff less ice time which is beneficial go the wings. I seriously hate when kindl is on the ice.

The wings look a little timid and hesitant when they don't have the puck and that's why they were chasing most the period.I think babs will address this and they will show more energy next period. The call on Nyquist was awful, and the goal called off was awful so we are probably in for some more awful calls this game. Lastly, kindl is absolutely god awful. He seems to always fall down in the corners, loses almost every puck battle, and can't even make a basic pass to a team mate that is close to him. Honestly he is just so bad its not even funny.

You should never make fun of another team for injuries... It is bad luck. I rememebrr so many people were happy when Crosby got hurt originally, but the fact is they are all hockey players and are all people. I am not happy to hear about anyone being hurt because us wings fans know how much that sucks.

It makes a huge difference. Especially against the bruins team. Dressing someone who can only play sheltered minutes against the bruins won't help because you need to be able to play everyone in order to beat them. Buffalo is the perfect opponent for pav to come back to.

No place for dan cleary on this team ever again. He needs to just sit until he goes away this summer for good. As for pav, he seems to really want to play tomorrow which is good news for us but babs will be careful with his ice time which will be important.

Right and I watched the game and Nashville actually outplayed the Caps most of the game, but yet it was the Caps who kept going to the PP. I think the NHL wants to do all it can to get it down to the wire to determine who is in the playoffs to make it more dramatic. Simply ridiculous.

They practice Tuesday and then will have another practice Thursday, so Pavel playing Friday or Saturday is not out of the question. I think it depends how the team does between now and next weekend. If they win today and lose Wedneday, it won't be a huge need to rush Pav back, but if we lose today and Wednesday, then they will feel more of a need to bring him back. Personally though, I think he will play next weekend.

And to top that off, with Pav and Hank back, we have a really really good group of forwards. There is no doubt our speed game would give us an edge over their physical game and I think we could upset them tbh.
