I know he isn't on the team anymore but 82 The number of times during his career Kopecky will be out with injuries.

55-Number of times other teams will claim Kronwall left his feet during a check.

13 Number of minutes Dats will be in the penlaty box. If you'll notice 13 being an odd number Dats will have to get 1 5 minute penalty during the season.

I've played in a league for the past 3 seasons. The 1st season there were 8 players. The 2nd season added 2 more and then 2nd more for the 3rd season. All in all I like the 2nd season the best. 8 players allowed for too many quality players to be picked up at anytime during the season. 12 players was just too many because the talent pool was too thin. I haven't won or even been close to winning any season so take that into consideration. I may just totally suck thereby making my thoughts null and void.

Now with this development, I can't help be grossed out by the Osgood cluck.

Hedman may be good and play well with Ohland, but I'd play Jon Ericcson over him.

I didn't read the whole thread so maybe this has already been asked. When figuring those stas that put the Wings at 28th place, did you also take into account the loss of the players from the other teams? By points we lost our 3rd,7th,10, and 13th players. When doing the math did it take those same point producers out of every other team? If so that sucks for us, if not it's comparing a roster of 12 forwards against a roster of 8 forwards. Again, sorry if this question was already asked. Side note: With Sammy and Kopecky gone, I expect Dats and Z both to have at least 206 points by the olympic break!

I wasn't aware this was going to be a surprise. Scotty went to Chicago to help his son. I think there was a thread on this a year ago. Scotty goes to Chicago and figures out a way to force Tallon out and get his son the GM. Not to say his son won't do a fine job. It just seems like some are acting like no one saw this coming.

Probert, Lapointe, Williams, Lang, Hossa, Kopecky. Does Chicago just look at our roster and try to take anyone? By tomorrow morning Sammy will have signed and Hudler will have an offer sheet.

So which of those teams should Conklin play for?

For Game 3 it's pretty clear the Penguins are going to try to get Crosby away from Z lines. Now I'm assuming Babcock will leave the lines as they were for the first two games but who will the Penguins put against that line. I mean it's Z, Franzen and Cleary! That's a powerful scoring line. Can the Penguins afford to put their 3rd or 4th line against them? Thoughts?

As I have looked over the boards for the last few days I've noticed very little emotion or anger towards the Blackhawks. Last series it seemed like there was alwys something to get mad about(even in victory) I know we're only two games into this series and there is more than enough time for something to change, but do you find it a little hard to hate the Hawks? When we were playing the Ducks, I seriously hated about every one of their players. Getzlaf,Perry,Pronger,the brothers Neidemeyer,Selenne, Merchant, etc. The only one I didn't really hate is Bobby Ryan and I think that's only because he's a rookie. Those "guys" are some of the dirtiest players I've seen. From cross checking a guy a foot shorter than you to beating up a player with an injury after the game that did it all and I will always hate them for that. The Hawks have... Dustine Byfuglien. He's the Hawks version somewhere between Matby and Homer. He's annoying but I don't hate him. Past that Kane, Toews, Sharp, Havlat, Campbell, Keith. I don't hate any of them at all and would want any of the on the wings save Campbell and that's just because I think he's overpaid. Don't get me wrong I want the Wings to beat these guys into a pulp on our way to winning the cup again. I just find in this series the games are great and all but between the games, there just isn't that much to talk about. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Hossa has been great for us during the regular season. At the end of the regular season I was a little sad Franzen had signed and not Hossa. Now that we're 2 game sinto the WCF I feel different. Don't get me wrong I like Hossa and I like'd the idea of keeping him around but he's just too expensive. I think we can all agree the wings post season success has been laregly due to it's depth. With that being said, I think we should let Hossa go and keep most of our depth guys like Hudler, Leino and (I can't beleive I'm saying this) Sammy. With the addition of Helm to the roster the lines could look somthing like this: DHZ Franzen Cleary Filppula Hudler Sammy Leino Draper Helm Maltby We've seen so many teams with one or two good lines and not too many of them did that well in the playoffs.

I think Lids could play for many years to come. His role would deminish over time leading to the once great Lidstrom being benched in the playoffs and fans would call for him to retire instead of taking up a spot for a youngster. By doing this I think he lessenes his own career. I think after his current contract is up, he either signs 1 one year contract for much less money, or reites and works in the front office for the Redwings or a team in Sweden.

What if Hossa doesn't want to play here? He came here because Detroit was his best chance to win the cup. If he wins, maybe he'll decide it's time to cash in. if he doesn't maybe he'll decide it's time to cash it. He only promised us 1 year. Yeah I know he said he wants to stay and play in Detroit but would he really say "I don't really want to be here, I just want to win a cup and then I'm gone." Players always say they want to stay where they are because they don't want to be heted by their own fans.
