I am now back living in the Detroit area after 11 months of living in 2 east coast states for work. It was funny experiencing the different cities and what they had to offer, yet I was amazed at the caliber of hockey that these teams play night in and night out. I was shocked at how ugly these games were. The eastern conference hockey was painful to watch after enjoying the wings for the fist 26 years of my life. I have always been amazed by the wings, and their ability to put such a great product on the ice year after year. Yet after a year of seeing other teams play on a daily basis, you truly enjoy the abilities of this team. GO Wings.

Related 2008 NHL Draft tracker Marian Hossa appears headed for the unrestricted free agent market on July 1st. Pittsburgh GM Ray Shero says his club has made a fair offer to the star winger, but Hossa would like to test the market before accepting a deal with the Penguins.

I know he didnt have the stellar stay here in Detroit we all hoped for. But I think he is now healthy, has lost 30 pounds, and has a grit that is nice around the net. I for one would take him if he didnt ask for a ton of cash, and wanted to play for a true cup contender.

Yes, this seals the deal. They have until July 1st to get things ironed out. I have read a 2 year deal worth 13.5-14.5 million.
