With the shape and conditioning of the players in the league nowdays compared to the old days its blown way out of proportion, especially with the Wings its always brought to the forefront as a problem. Last year it was was the young vs the old and who won? If other teams lose a series, age is never mentioned, its injuries or something else. I think its just a media thing and to create a story with interest to the general public instead of actually commenting on the play of the game. They do it in all the other sports too, some team is always too old and the injuries are then based on the fact that they are old. I think Chicago had the lowest age and it wasn't a problem. The Wings need to play like we all know how they can play. I guess thats why I cheer for them because they keep proving everybody wrong and winning. Go Wings Go

I'd say Datsyuk gets the edge imo, but both players compliment each other very well. The only problem I see with Zetterberg this year is the penalties he's taking compared to Datsyuk. Great two way players, so its a tough one to choose between them.

I thought they'd pull some sort of deal for a defense man but I'm content with them not giving up any prospects or staying put with the current players for the play-off run. The Bert deal for Mathais(not sure about the spelling) was a bad one imo. The only problem I see is their consistancy night to night. Some nights they play so well and then the next game their play is horrible. Hopefully they can build some momentum and work hard like in the St Louis or Shark game and not like the effort in the Preds game.
