No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Bertuzzi: 16 goals, 29 assists, 45 points, 81 games. Holmstrom: 18 goals, 19 assists, 38 points, 73 games. Considering how neither of those had consistent linemates, each bouncing from first to third lines and between, I'd say that's nothing to sneeze at. Jagr had 25 goals, 46 assists and 71 points, so he'd likely slide right in. Then again, why compare Jagr to those two? Holmstrom's a left wing. Jagr's a RW. Bertuzzi oscillates between the wings as needed, as in the BFF line. I could see Jagr replacing Hudler or Miller easily enough.

Let's see... '95? Nope. '97? Nope. '98? Nope. '02? Nope. '08? Nope. '09? Nope. Toss in the Pistons in '04 and the Tigers WS loss in '06, and I can't remember a single riot amongst fans in Detroit. Act like you've been there before, Canuckleheads!

Yeah, don't care. Having fun with it.

    Hudler's Future

So, Jiri, let's be honest for a second... 2010-11: 10 goals, 27 assists, 37 points. Good enough for 253rd, 129th, and 189th. 2008-09: 23 goals, 34 assists, 57 points. Good enough for 79th, 82nd and 78th. 2007-08: 13 goals, 29 assists, 42 points. Good enough for 186th, 117th and 137th. Cleary scored as many points in 18 fewer games. 2006-07: 15 goals, 10 assists, 25 points. Good enough for 179th, 420th and 302nd. Jason "Lazy and Sucks" Williams had as many goals. So, Mr. Great Playmaker, riddle me this. How exactly does "great playmaker" and a best year of right around 80th in the league work? How exactly is this "great playmaker" not ringing up assists left and right? How is it that a "great playmaker" is dead last in +/-, despite playing against other teams' third and fourth lines?

    Hudler's Future

No. Just... no. 129th in the league in assists. 253rd in the league in goals scored. Or have you some definition of "playmaker" that would involve not generating either goals or assists?

    Hudler's Future

You're insane. In no world is Hudler an elite playmaker.

  11. By the same Twitter feed, Rafalski leaving basically locks in Lidstrom's return.

    The person below me game...

Certainly do. Need a technique? TPBM is listening to it rain.
  13. 20 minutes for VAN, not counting the 10 minute misconduct. 13 minutes for SJS, not counting the game misconduct. Not the most evenly called game out there, especially considering SJS had 6 powerplays in the third to VAN's 1.

    Hudler's Future

So Hudler can produce, as long as he's paired with arguably the best playmaker in the league. Stick anyone on Datsyuk's wing and they'll produce. I'm not going to give Hudler a first-line spot since that may be the only place he can produce.

    Hudler's Future

    When exactly has Hudler shown first/second line ability? 13, 40, 93, 96, 44, 11, possibly 51... no room for a "maybe" there.

WCSF Game 7 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Sharks 3

They have this. I said after game 4 when my mom asked that it would be either Sharks in 5, or Wings in 7. Why? Win game 4, force game 5. Win game 5, plant the seeds of doubt. Win game 6, Neimi starts overthinking- you could see that late. His rebound control went to hell. Red Wings 4, Sharks 1, see ya in Vancouver.
  20. Too old... sigh... Okay, Vancouver. The numbers, again. Average age of Wings who played at least 1 game in the regular season: 30.21 as of this second. Regular season points by players: Players 25 and under accounted for 8.2% of the point total. Players 26-30 accounted for 34.55% of that total. Players 31-35 accounted for 25.28% of the total. Players 36-40 accounted for 23.31% of the total. Lidstrom's the only over-40, accounting for 8.7% on his own. Nice bell curve with a skew to late 20s and 30. In the playoffs: Under 25 players account for 6.82%. 26-30 players account for 35.23% 31-35 players account for 27.27% 36-40 players account for 21.59%. Lidstrom accounts for 9.09%. Same bell curve, if anything pulled a little further to the younger guys. Wings, old? Nah.

Can we tape Abby to the bench late in game 7 if we have a lead?
  22. Never ceases to amaze me... Pavel, 171. Hank, 210. Homer, 257. Mule, 97. Flip, 95. Helm, 132. E, 291. Lids, 53. Howard, 64. So many later pickups that have done so well.
