Was there an Aerosmith concert in Cole Harbour, NS in December, 1986? I'm thinking Mama Crosby might have been a groupie.

I live near Chicago and it's ALL OVER the TV, too. For the most part, the Chicago fans seems to be voicing their disappointment. Comments like "He's supposed to be the Face of the Blackhawks. Kids look up to him. He needs to grow up."
-
Over/under on the first "Hey Paddy, can you spare a dime....or two?" sign at an opposing rink? I'll take Game One, warmups, behind the Hawks' bench glass. Anyone ever notice that stupid players seem to congregate on Joel Quenneville coached teams?

63.8 million for 12 years to a 30 year old guy? Okaaaaay. Next year ought to be fun. I can't imagine them being able to keep Toews and Kane. They won't be able to pay them what other teams will be offering. Unless they think they can win a Cup in Chicago and take less to stay......buh-bye!

I don't even have to read the body of your post to know my answer to this. HELL to the NO. Pronger's not just dirty, he's also a douchebag and not the most intelligent person on the face of the earth. I accepted Hatcher and Bertuzzi, but never really warmed to them. And they never really worked out, anyway. But Pronger? No. Just no.

And using your logic (number of championships), it sounds like BOSTON has more of a claim on the "City of Champions" moniker than Pittsburgh does. Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox, and I believe that the Red Sox and Pats won the championship's in the same year, as well. Adding up the TOTAL championships in the Big Four sports, I think they're kicking your ass.

As a Packers fan, I was just reminded of what it felt like to see them win the Super Bowl, come back to the big game the next year as defending champs, and have Horseface Elway finally win a Super Bowl at my team's expense (and have to listen to the media fall all over him for the entire off season). The sight of him celebrating in slow motion and his freaking windmill diving touchdown still pisses me off to this day. It's going to be like that for me, again, except Horseface is going to be replaced with Pubic Beard. Is this Groundhog Day, or something?

I already posted on my Facebook that woofers will be deleted. They think I'm joking. I'm not. The worse is the daughter of one of my friends who two days ago couldn't name one person on the Pens named not named Sidney Crosby, now going on about "her Pens." And I deleted her "ha-ha" comment. I meant it when I said I wasn't kidding.

And I think you saw the long term effects of the beating that the Ducks gave us, tonight. Getting through the Hawks was okay. But a seven game Finals? Not so much. I hate them. Worse than Sid or Geno. I think the order goes Anaheim, Chicago, San Jose, Colorado, St. Louis and THEN someone from the other conference.
-
Oh no. Our arch rivals will always be someone else in the West. Right now, it is the Ducks. And I'm sure most Pittsburgh fans would consider Philadelphia as their's.
-
I just laughed for the first time since the game ended. Thanks for that, even though you didn't intend for it to be funny.
-
Not quite. Big difference. Pens fans though their own player deserved it over Hank last year. Some people here think Fluery deserved it over Malkin. Neither of them are Wings. If people were saying that one of the Wings should have won it (after losing the Cup), instead of Malkin, your comparison would make sense.

Same here. Disappointed, but not suicidal. Changing the channel to a movie as soon as the horn sounded, helped. I didn't see any celebrations, no Bettman, no handshake line, nothing. I don't even know who won the Conn Smythe (after tonight, it should be Flower, not Sid or Geno). I don't know if we played "half assed." It's game SEVEN. But, I think our stars (Nick, Dats, especially) were playing a lot more hurt than they were willing to let on. We looked worn out, not half assed.

I changed the channel as soon as the horn sounded, so I didn't see a thing. I actually prefer it that way, thanks.
