I hope they repeat... thats all we can say really until the playoffs start next year then predictions will be suitable I think the way the NHL is so wide open now of days that the chances are certainly lower of a team repeating. But the wings seem to surprise everyone every year so we'll just have to wait and see. Oh hell with it, REPEAT BABYYYYY!!!

I would love to see The wings and the canadiens in next years finals. As for the west...I really like Chicago and would like to see them go deep in the playoffs for a change. Nashville, Dallas & Calgary will be right up there to compete. It looks like a great year coming up and I think we have a really good chance at defending the cup or at least seeing some really good new teams in the playoffs. Dont over look colombus & St. louis who have been making some good moves this off season. Im excited and have no urge to watch the tigers or the lions, all i want is hoccccckkkkkkey!!!

I can see Jimmy Howard being a solid backup next year and will play maybe 15-20 games to give osgood a rest when needed. As for Larsson, I think he should pay his dues like Jimmy has and wait a couple season and see what happens.

Even if he did come and play for Detroit. Would he make that big of an impact on a team that just won the stanley cup, and that is pretty much coming back next year in the same form and with the same roster. Hes a great talent and it's cool that he is Swedish and that may bring a little more chemistry...but all in all I dont think he would make much of a difference on this team.

This is a good question and im gonna have to think back but here it goes 1. 97 cup 2. Yzermans 2OT goal against st. louis 3. 2008 cup 4. pavel datsyuk shootout goal vs. Turco (I watch it everyday i think) 5. I dunno this turned into the top 5 red wings moments for me so i'll leave #5 open...Miracle on ice was a pretty huge deal I guess & i've always loved doug gilmour moments. I dunno...
