I couldn't agree more with this. The Wings got pushed around and quit playing the game. Neil ran around all night intimidating the wings then pursued one of our young D into a fight he didn't want to be in. Z was roughed up and Pavel was beat down all night. Not one of the Red Wings stood up or helped out their teammates. Ericsson, Quincey, Abby where were you? If Abby won't help out and push back in a game like that he can be waived as well. Holland and co have a week to figure out what to do before our next meeting with them. and don't think every team in the league saw how the Wings folded last night as well

I don't think its Dan Cleary him self that I hate, its the way Babcock always finds a way to keep him in the line up even when he is awful. Bert, Pavel, Tatar is a great line. Bert Pavel, Cleary is not. If Babcock can't see that then maybe he is the problem.

If true, then I'm ashamed to be. a wings fan. These are people they're dealing with. Once Kenny made the decision, he should have called eaves before filing the paperwork or whatever formality puts it into motion.

Sounds like Cleary is in for Tatar against Washington. I am not very happy with Babcock and Holland these days. Good luck to Patty! I hope he gets claimed and lights it up

Its really disappointing because Eaves is a much more effective bottom 6 player than Cleary and Sammy. He is getting waived for Holland's idiocy.

Franzen 2 goals in 11 games (both on the PP and both against the Avs)
Weiss 2 goals in 11 games
Alfredsson 1 goal in 11 games
Those are the top 3 guys the Wings need producing after Z and Dats, and they have 5 goals between them.
Then throw in our $3 million fourth liner Samuelsson and it's more capspace that was supposed to be providing goals but isn't. As I mentioned in the GDT, Franzen hasn't even managed a shot on goal in the last two games. His last SOG was against the Coyotes.

Brendan Smith might get better but I don't think that he is not replaceable. I say shop him and if good value can be had let him go. Lashoff>Smith

This is the million dollar question. All the lines are playing pretty good. Tootoo , Miller, and Glendening have been a good line and have provided energy and have been pretty good defensively as well. I think Eaves will get waived, Sammy will request a trade if he keeps getting scratched, and Glendening will get sent down (because he can). I still think Holland should be shopping Smith and Mule. Edmonton might be a good trade partner right now.

Bert played a hell of a game and really opened up the ice for Z and Pav. Glendening looks like a minor improvement over Emdog but an improvement none the less. Lashoff>Smith. Tootoo gets a spot just for the death stare. I thought the 2nd line still sucked. Its time Holland put out some feelers to see what Mule would fetch in a trade. Put Mule in the press box next game if he doesn't get the message then trade his ass(no pun intended). Never break up the PavZuzzi line.

Lots of ambivalence about Bertuzzi on the boards these days. Prior to tonight's game, half of LGW wanted him off the team. Anybody willing to eat crow?

We kicked the tires, but ultimately we felt the price wasn't right. It takes two to dance. We like our team. Getting Nyquist back will basically be a big deadline acquisition.

Cleary should not have been brought back even for free because we have younger and more talanted guys ready to come up. Smith is young and will make a ton of mistakes but he still needs to be reminded that he will sit if he plays like crap from time to time. Babs needs to get tougher on this team and make his players earn their spots.

Blame this on the schedule if you'd like but this team has to be better. The Wings played like crap two nights in a row. Yes they got the win from the Canes but they got out played for 55 minutes. 2 things are certain Smith still sucks and Franzen still floats

Kronner is playing like ass tonight. Wings need to wake up and come out with a much better 2nd and 3rd
