The four Red Wings fans behind the bench there clearly aren't cheering. I don't know what "fail" you're referring to, but if it was supposed to be them cheering the other team, they aren't. They all have pretty concerned looks on their faces.

They're pretty unashamed of how much they love the Canadian teams. They never come out and state that the commentary favours Canadian teams, but it's always made apparent in the context of Canadian broadcasters supporting Canadian teams in general. I don't particularly enjoy it as a Canadian myself. As far as JR goes, I like the fact that he's willing to speak his mind and tell it how he sees it. Patty Marleau has been pretty invisible this series, he's completely justified in commenting on that fact however he sees fit. I would agree, however, that he shouldn't be quite so obvious about being a Sharks fan, especially on national television. If he were working at CSN there, that would be one thing (although you'll still never hear an employee like that come right out and say, "I am a fan of team X"), but even the Canadian homers don't explicitly admit to supporting Canadian teams. Overall, though, good for him. I hope he continues broadcasting, I like how blunt he is about hockey.

He's also missing from all MLB video games, not being part of the players' union. The producers usually stick an imaginary player in his place, with stats based on his own. "Great Johnson" and "Kyle Morgan" are a couple of examples I'm a big Millar fan too, he played a year or two in Toronto and he wasn't anything special on the field but always fun off the field. We all know that Roloson has the ability to carry a team not just through a series, but almost to a Cup. He ain't outta gas yet, if he keeps it up, Bolts have a pretty good shot in this one.

Realistically, Canucks have this one if the Hawks didn't manage to totally break Luongo's confidence. Vancouver has more skill and firepower than Anaheim did and they also showed they can pound the hell out of you physically if they need to. Unless Rinne remembers how to play goal, I can't imagine the Preds pulling off this upset. That being said, it would be really really cool if they managed it

In fact, in the overhead shot, it pretty clearly never does so, so even with the bogus "conclusive evidence to overturn the on-ice ruling" s***, it STILL should not have counted as a goal even if the league chooses to ignore their own kicking rules? I'd hope that the Wings are inspired by their last two games and realize that they can actually win if they try, but Carolina is desperate and the Wings have already clinched. I wouldn't be surprised by a loss tonight.

Anderson is the best goaltender that the Senators have had in a long, long time. ~$3 million is a good price to pay for somebody who's a pretty strong starting goalie if you ask me. He had a bad year in Colorado but hey, Colorado and bad years go hand in hand Not sure that signing him to a four-year deal was totally wise, but he's by far Ottawa's best option in net.
