Seabrook extended for 5 years at $5.8 million per year
ComradeWasabi replied to Drake_Marcus's topic in General
We're paying Raffi $6 million... -
lmao, love the hot dog talk from Murph...
-
Two goals in a row: defenseman gets caught flat-footed on the rush and lets a player blow by them... hmmm
-
Not Kronner's fault there, Salei missed it. Beautiful backhand.
-
I tried really hard to convince myself that I was too mature to laugh at this, but... Lol.
-
^ Zach Parise?
-
Took them long enough. They've tanked too hard this season thus far, I'll be extremely surprised if they make it back into the playoffs.

Brett Lebda to start as Winger Tonight for the Leafs
ComradeWasabi replied to sixer's topic in General
I can't recall Lebda having ever played wing on the Red Wings... maybe my memory is fuzzy though? -
Great, now I feel like an ass for thinking that Ericsson blew all last year.

Zetterberg and Datsyuk split...

Why I'm Thankful Babcock is the Wing's coach

I think you're getting confused That was Alexander Burmistrov of Atlanta, not Ovechkin. The Caps are in white in that video. -
Campbell calls (likely Savard) "Fake Artist" in email
ComradeWasabi replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
TSN has this story on their front page: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=341367 Some pretty good rhetoric there, don't be surprised if this ends up blowing over. edit: ^Ninja'd! lol. But I'm gonna leave this post here because it's on the new page. -
Campbell calls (likely Savard) "Fake Artist" in email
ComradeWasabi replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
I'm not going to give Campbell s*** for the grammar, spelling or even professionalism of his e-mails. Realistically, he works closely with a group of 5-10 people (I just totally made up that number, but that seems like about the correct number of senior NHL execs) and probably knows them all quite well. I'm not at all surprised that he uses profanity and colloquial speech in an e-mail sent to somebody who probably works in the office next door. And really, does it affect anyone? I don't think the word s*** has caused any specific NHL-related problems. That being said, the bias and favouritism he shows is appalling. I wouldn't be surprised if he resigns in the next 10 days... once it's on Puck Daddy, everybody in the hockey world is going to know about it and there is simply no way the NHL can cover this one up (again). Colin's in trouble. -
I think this is what he's been hoping someone would say..
-
I don't get it. Filppula is on pace for more points, he's faster, more defensively responsible, he takes faceoffs, he kills penalties, he can play on the power play, he's VERSATILE (ie. he can play with more than one set of linemates and his performance doesn't necessarily suffer. Unlike Hudler, who as eva can attest, plays poorly when he doesn't have good linemates). I simply can't see how you would ever pick Hudler over Filppula.

Also, the sky is blue.

Are hockey hits harder than football hits?
ComradeWasabi replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I like this argument. Both sides have no real evidence and are just seeing who can bang their head against the wall the hardest. -
Hjalmarsson Cheap Shot on Jason Pominville
ComradeWasabi replied to Octopus's Garden's topic in General
Different story depending on who you ask. Havlat deliberately allowed the puck to go through his skates IIRC, which counts as "playing" it. -
I know he played with Danny Markov for a while.
-
This is really the best LGW joke ever.
-
Zetterberg has almost always played in the middle when he and Datsyuk have been on the same line, has he not?
-
They still want 2 points instead of 1.
-
My favourite part of the article. Kronwall's partner on the 2nd PP has been one of the most frustrating things to watch in the last couple years, between Sammy and J-Willy. Hopefully Modano works out well there.

Good! This was an obvious example of cap circumvention and I'm glad the league had the gumption to stand up and shoot this thing down.
