I wanted to come out and say that these were the best ref's we have seen all playoffs. They made good calls no matter what, Q says. They kept a handle on things when they got rough and were not afraid to hand out 10 minute Misconducts. There are always going to be missed calls but I thought these refs did a great job calling penalties...

Yes yes yes I agree with you and yes it did occur to me that the AHL is nowhere near the NHL in a skill wise, but check this out Kopy's AHL playoffs in the 2005-2006 season GP 16 G 3 A 4 PTS 7 +- 0 PIM 25 Playing in twice as many games but only getting half the amount of goals. Yes you can now say that he had different team mates and blah blah blah... Comparing his AHL playoffs to Abby's. I would rather have Abby up there giving it a shot then Kopy who has been a good fourth liner and getting better... All and all it will be interesting and good to see another Michigan born and someone brought up through the Wings system to prove themselves.

Another little bit of information, if you want cheap cheap parking, park at Washington and Fort its usually 5 bucks and all you have to do is walk down a block to cobo, walk through cobo, then your at the back steps, depending on what section your seats are in these doors bring you right up to sections 113-115 area...

I would rather see what Abdelkader can do in the playoffs up here with the Wings again over Kopy. Look at his numbers in the 10 games he played in Griffins Playoffs.. GP 10 G 6 A 2 PTS 8 +- 2, his only down fall are his PIM at 23... and here are Kopy's numbers in the 8 games hes played up here GP 8 G 0 A 1 PTS 1 +- 0, PIM 7. Abdelkader skates faster and harder than Kopy. Before game 4, Babs said they wanted to just wear the ducks out with Abdelkader you can do that with Leino you have a mini Datsyuk that hasn't trusted his eyes to Dr. Rahmani yet. Finesse hasn't worked well for the Wings against the Ducks its been hard physical plays that have gotten the job done...

Really all depends on what you are looking for down there. Good food and Michigan only brewed beer, not even sure if they serve the watered down Miller or Bud products but they have great choices that are brewed here in the mitten, you go to Forans, on Woodward ave, right down the street from Campus Martius next to the pickle place, (you will see a gigantic pickle on the building.) Usually this place is not jam packed with people and you can get since its like 4 blocks down from the Joe. Most of the bars around the rink are always jam packed and ya cant find a seat anywhere, or a piece of bar to grab to order a drink...

In baseball the rules are simple, Pitchers cannot wear white shirts down to their wrists. The same rule should apply for hockey, but they should not be allowed to wear black pants, pads...etc
