I have a story to share, a TRUE story, no BS. I used to play driveway hockey with Tom Wilson in Canton when he was growing up. He was best friends in Canton with my godson who was a rather accomplished young netminder but yes, we'd play driveway hockey with tennis balls and so when i see him go off on Coburn I just laugh and laugh. Good game, go get your juice boxes, LOL

A couple things: Apathy? THis team has no direction up or down. It's trundling out the same plan each night. Not bad enough to get a #1 overall most likely barring a mathematical miracle and not good enough to make the playoffs. Its Groundhog Day. I have had THE worst possible year this year (DM me if you want details) and I've tried to get into this team and it's just not happening. Next point, as a Cleveland Browns fan, NO it is not wrong to hope your team loses to get the best pick. I've been doing it for decades. Those stupid and pointless wins against say Kansas City in November will come back to haunt you.

My guess is this, since the Wings aren't going to set the world on fire in the standings the next couple seasons there WILL be a number retirement to help connect the past of Olympia/JLA to LCA and 'create' some history at the new place. My hope is it would be Fedorov.

This is not getting better. It's not bottomed out but it's not improving and one might think has already peaked. This same club going forward can't do much of anything up or down. It's not going to crash into the bottom 2 for a choice pick or 2, it's not going to the playoffs. I feel hard choices need to be made, NOW, and they aren't. Something has to be done. A trade, a big trade, a coaching change or even, *AHEM* a front office change. The current set-up cannot exist and succeed.
