If you have surround sound, just unplug the center speaker - you still get most of the arena/in-game sounds from the rest.

For sure legitimate. What if it splits unevenly and the larger size goes into the net...what's the cut-off size? If play should be stopped dead due to splitting - what about pucks that have small edges chipped off does that count as splitting? Interesting. I think the rule is "the entire puck must cross the goal line to count" (or some variation of that) but at what point does one consider the puck entire..

Here's a tip. Only works if you have surround sound (ie 5 speakers). I've noticed 99% of the play-by-play comes out of the centre speaker. So just unplug the centre speaker and all you get are the sounds of the game! It helps while watching Versus.

Don't mean to be all pessimistic, but I've gone to four wings games the last year, and they've all been blow-outs (ie getting rocked in buffalo and toronto this year). The bad news is I'm going to game four today! And I really hope my 'curse' on this team is over! If it is, wings win 3-1, otherwise wings will lose 6-1 and osgood will replace jimmy in the 2nd period. (I'm not really superstitious I just don't like my track record!)

disgusting. i paid a lot of money for great seats to take my dad to a game and we drove a long way!! i want a written apology from someone!! this is the third wings game i've been to...and they lose everytime. They lose BIG TIME everytime also...ugh! i'll just stay home from now on.

Why would anyone trade such a high pick for the rights to Hossa...which only equates to about 36 hours of negotiations before everyone else can chime in. Unless of course "they" make a conditional offer which changes on July 1st if he doesn't sign. I don't see the wings getting more than a 3rd, a 2nd would be stretching.

I have a hard time deciding which to watch: CBC or NBC. I can't stand both announcing crews because a) they take 900 years to say something that could take 10 seconds. And does NBC really need 5-6 people analyzing the game? ...too many cooks spoil the broth. The only positive side to NBC is that the ice level noise is louder than CBC so you can hear more going on. I would only switch back to CBC if cole and neale were announcing again. I find them easier to listen to mostly because they are older and don't talk a mile a minute like pierre and ed oldsuck. I really wish announcers would just shut up and let me watch the game...why can't the NHL offer a feed where it's just the hockey...as if you are in the building and you don't have to listen to analysis but you can just make your own. blah!

Agreed also. Chicago will turn up the heat in game 2 but I don't feel it will be enough as Pavel will miraculously be cured from this slump and get me thinking Arby's
