He seems OK. Eliteprospects.com says that he's also "defensively responsible and doesn't mind heavy traffic."
What I like him best is that he's so small that he would drive people nuts here.

Do not agree with Stuart being THE least valuable player in the league... He is a huge reason the wings were able to hang around while our entire team was hurt.. that seems pretty valuable. It looks like this guy is going purely off stats which is an awful way to do this list

Let me preface this by saying that the posts are purely by the numbers, and that there is more to the MVP award than pure numbers (leadership, team standings, etc etc).
The results? Lidstrom is the 2nd most valuable player of this season (#1 is not a shocker), and Stuart is the least valuable player, which I found surprising. At the very least I take this as verification that Lidstrom has not lost a step, as many have asserted. I don't think the posts show the whole picture with Stuart though, because he logs a ton of time, a lot of which has been spent with glorified AHLers this year....

Well I think it's always kinda harder to move when you're injured. Especially with a leg injury.

I meant in regards to takeaways only. I can see how that was confusing, so I edited my original post for clarity.

The fact that he's got the most takeaway's in the league is great, but the seperation between him and everyone else in the league in the takeaway department is mind-boggling.
Pav's puck-handling and ability to not only create space but to hold the puck in tight areas are second to absolutely no one IMO. He's does it so many times night-in and night-out that its probably the reason he has more giveaways than the rest of the candidates.

I wouldn't say he isn't known for scoring... he's usually good for 20 goals and 20 helpers a year. That's respectable. He's not a star but he does everything pretty well.
You're right, though, he's been terrible since the Olympic break and wasn't exactly hot before then. Cleary has a habit of scoring in bunches anyway, so once that first goal goes in we're golden. Same for Bertuzzi.
If those two can get going again the Wings will be really rolling going into the playoffs.

[(40pt - 16.4pt)/(40pt)]*100% = 59%
So there you go. That's a 59% difference between the current pace he's on and what he's expected to produce.

ill bet everthing i own that if the Caps werent a lock for the playoffs and they were fighting for 8th like we are he wouldnt have gotten suspended.

I am very excited about Nyquist he has been lighting it up for Maine this year. 1.65 points per game as a sophmore! I just wish he played in the CCHA so I could go watch him live.

If I were the Hawks GM I'd be signing an overrated vet to an obscenely large, ill-timed contract.
