Lowest of our regular forwards. I suppose you could consider Andersson and Ferraro a regular though. 2.5 minutes less than Tatar and 3.5 less than Nyquist. In this game, he played just under 12 minutes, while Tatar and Nyquist played about 17. LA game he did play more than them, one of the few times this year. One game is hardly enough to call a trend, especially considering tonight's game.
You say he can't play defense, but his defensive metrics are among the best on the team, with similar usage to Tatar and Nyquist. You say he can't forecheck in the GDT for a game where his forecheck helped create two goals. Yeah, he's small, but no smaller than Nyquist or Tatar. And he's producing about as well as those two.
If it turns out that Tatar and Nyquist do start losing ice time to Pulks, and he's not producing enough to warrant it, then a change would be in order. But for now it looks like we might finally have three good lines. Nyquist-Sheahan-Tatar has been a good line in pretty much every game they've been together. As has Larkin-Z-Abby. Richards-Dats-Pulks has been together 2 games, been our best possession line both games, and got a goal tonight. Let it ride.
And he has 11 career goals.

He has the lowest ice-time of all our regular forwards, and has played more games with Miller/Andersson as a linemate than he's had with Datsyuk. Despite his limited use, he's one of the top producers on the team. He's not being carried to anything. He's earning everything. Except the irrational dislike so prevalent here. Definitely not earning that.

Yeah, I mean 10 points, on pace for 25/40 this year is terrible out of a rookie. And I mean Detroit has no problem scoring so they should get rid of their players that can score.

His point numbers don't surprise me, but his goals sure do. Who would have thought that only 16 players would have more goals than him? If he keeps up his pace the past 10 or 15 games, scoring 40 isn't out of the question. We'll see what happens when Stamkos comes back, though.

Yes exactly. I always liked Fillpula a lot and this is also a case of 'you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone'. He was a very good fit in our system even if there was obviously something wrong with him last year. I will not give up on Weiss until we see if the surgery helped him get back to 100%, but it's certainly looking like Weiss isn't a good fit at all.
Unlike a lot of other people I don't wish bad things on the players that leave the Wings, and certainly not great guys like Fil. I wish him continued success and will continue to miss him in a Wings uniform.

Good luck Finnish Wing, it's been a good game and no matter who wins this I am happy there are two Scandinavian teams in the final, we has great youth development programs now in both countries.

Yes, usually if you play turtle D you end up losing the game. That doesn't make an excuse for the reffing to make up calls.
5-minute major, yup, they didn't see it obviously. Is it good reffing when you make calls out of thin air after that?

My job allows us to read at our desks when things get slow, and as such I've been reading the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) series. The book series (as I'm sure many of you know) is fantastic, and has had me REALLY wanting to play a game that was in the same genre as ASOIAF...
So, after being pretty much severely burned out on Skyrim in June, I finally swung back around and pulled it out of the box again. Still had a few things to finish up in Dawnguard, and still have the civil war to finish, and several other miscellaneous quests.
Even after all this time, this game is STILL lights-out. The only other game I've ever spent this much time in was Final Fantasy X.

I predict this will ultimately result in the creation of an entirely new sort of pest/agitator: the tucker. His sole purpose: to tuck the opposition's jerseys, twice. Or several times. Or dozens of times.

Just started up a Mass Effect Trilogy run. Starting from scratch with a brand new character, complete with a face code I found online (backwards-converted to ME1 using a converter I also found online).

Anyone remember how Lilja ended up Lidstrom's partner in the 2006 playoffs? I don't think Schneider was injured.
I just know Lidstrom held Lilja back and that pairing was a disaster in the postseason.

Remember when Smith was the youth? Remember how 12 months ago he was LOCK for the Calder on here? Now he's the most useless defenceman in history, a Frankenstein combination of all the worst parts of Anders Ericsson, Max Kuznetzov, Matthieu Dandenault and Brett Lebda.
Are you spotting the pattern here? When they're in the minors all our prospects are the next coming of Steve Yzerman and Nick Lidstrom on here. Then they get here, and they turn into what the scouts projected (3rd line checker, 2nd line 2-way winger) and not what the LGWers predicted (Pavel Zetterberg), and LGW treats them like they're something they scraped off their shoe.
So good luck Nyquist. Good luck Tatar. Good luck Sheahan, Ferraro and Jurco. You'd better turn into HOFers, otherwise you'll just plain SUCK!
