    Best Game 7

Though the game in 2002 against the avs was amazing, I have to say the game where Yzerman steals the puck from Gretzky and top shelves it against St. Louis.

nothing silences the ozzy haters like a .922 sv perecentage in the playoffs. Along with the Wizard of Oz, and Ozzie, chris osgood's nickname should be Dr. Clutch

    Online Replays of Games?

before the game starts, go to www.atdhe.com click on the game feed, then hit the pause button. Then, be sure not to turn off or close your laptop. When you want to watch the game just hit the play button. Simple as that :caution:
  5. I just read on prosportsdaily.com that the Flyers are interested in dealing some major names in exchange for a big name goaltender. 1 possibility mentioned online from several sources was Carey Price to the Flyers for Briere or Lupul and some other prospects and the rights to restricted free agent Mike Komisarek (who becomes unrestricted on July 1st). The other possibility mentioned was the flyers looking to acquire Roberto Luongo from Vancouver in exchange for the same deal as mentioned above. But apparetly, Vancouver is looking for Jeff Carter. I think Montréal needs to hold on to Price. They are overreacting to the emotions of their fans. Just last year in Montreal Price was "the next great Habs goaltender" and now they are looking to deal him for Briere or Lupul? Stupid Stupid in my opinion. What do you guys think about these possible trades?

Does Abdelkader have a nickname yet?

not sure but I don't think so. I've seen him play at the high school and college levels growing up in michigan and going to michigan state and i've never heard him being referred to by a nickname. :rockstar:

Red Wings Top 12 Prospects according to TSN

Finally they put Brendan Smith where he blongs! This kid definitely belongs in the top 5. I've seen him on other websites as being listed #8-12 on Detroit's top prospect list. Finally someone gets it right. This guy is something else! 23 points in 31 games as a defenseman at any level is pretty remarkable! :colorbounce:

Any streams availible for this game?

Hands down the best place to find feeds for NHL games is atdhe.net . They usually have several feeds to chose from and they have every NHL playoff game.

Flyers interested in goaltending Price to Leave Montréal?

It's true that Vadim Tarasov was a dissappointment but he was hardly considered the next "great habs goaltender." The guy never played a single NHL game. The fan support behind Price was astronomically higher than it was for Tarasov. Tarasov was just a late round steal for Montreal that they thought would end up paying off. But who knows? He's playing in the KHL now and he may end up signing with an NHL team when the KHL folds. :deal:

    For You Leino Fans

I don't see how anyone could consider this as bad news!!! Leino was insanely good in the few games he had earlier in the season and why not add more euro talent to our already "euro-rific" lineup. The guy had 46 points in 57 games with the Griffins and had only 18 penalty minutes. What's not to love?

I will lose major respect for Chicago fans if

Ha! it's funny you should say that! A blues fan put out a cigarette on my wings jersey at the scottrade center in St Louis long story short, I spit on him and I had just drank orange juice an hour before so the spit was nice and goopy.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

Couldn't have put it better myself Konnan. Chicago's style of play is something the wings can easily overcome in this series.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

No, I read your entire post and still don't see that many similarities between the two teams. Perhaps at the surface these two teams possess similar characteristics as you mentioned (solid defense, offensive depth, cup proven goaltending) but as many similarities you can come up with there are twice as many differences regarding experience, Special Teams, detroit's insane ability at maintaining puck possession, and not to mention the huge disparity in skill level.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

I fail to see that many similarities between Chicago's team this year and the wings of last year. Chicago's team this year has nowhere near the offensive depth of the 2007-2008 wings. But I do see your point about the defensive depth. But whatever...., who cares?

#4 was only a stupid joke so just take it for what it is, a stupid joke. Regarding #5 I stand by that 100%. Like I said before, Befyulgen did have some clutch moments against the Canucks but look at the full picture. The guy takes bad penalties, can't skate, and could be a reliable source of power plays for the wings in the upcoming series.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

I disagree. I realize the cups the wings won in 97 and 98 came wayyy after the ones in the Howe era but you have to realize one thing: The 2009 hawks are not the 1997 red wings.

I hate quenneville just as much as the next guy but come on. The guy has an amazing career under his belt. 750+ wins, stanely cup in 96 withe Avs (booooo).

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

Hey everyone, just thought I'd share this with my fellow red wings community. Feel free to add on to or criticize my starting point: 5. Dustin Byfuglien - This guy in my opinion is one of the most overrated players in the Hawks lineup. He has been getting a lot of touches in this year's playoffs and granted, he has come through with some pretty clutch goals up to this point. That being said, the guy skates like a rookie in the UHL, takes pretty bad penalties, and could be good for the wings in terms of generating lots of power plays. 4. Quenneville - someone in the forum reminded me of a fact i had forgotten, Quenneville has coached a team defeated by the wings in the playoffs in 97,98,02,and08 3. They haven't won the cup since 1961 - I realize this isn't a genuine reason but come on. The last time the hawks hoisted the cup was during the friggin Kennedy administration. History has a strange way of repeating itself and the drought will continue for the Hawks (and cubs for that matter) 2. Lack of experience - Let's face it, the Hawks are an inexperienced young team. In the playoffs, especially in the later rounds, experience is an excellent thing to have. Before this year's playoffs began, many of the hawks, including young captain Jonathan Toews had never played a single NHL playoff game. 1. They are facing the 2008-2009 Red wings - This team is something special. Yes, I realize it took us 7 games to defeat the number 8 seeded ducks. But if you really break down the probable one on one match ups (chicago's #1 line compared to detroit's number 1 line) there really is no comparison. Datsyuk and Zetterberg will tear holes in even the best of Chicago's defensive pairings. Whether it be Campbell, Seabrook, it matters not.

Do we finally have our best lineup?

I'd love to see Abdelkader play with Draper and Homlstrom. Just like Lidstrom made Ericsson better by playing with him in the defensive pairing, Draper and Holmstrom will bring out the best in my fellow Spartan Mr. Abdelkader.
