Well if we make the playoffs, and everyone is healthy, I would go with this line up.... Samuelsson came back for ONE GAME and is out AGAIN. "upper body injury" Usually injuries don't bother me but honestly, what are we paying this guy for? Guy is made of glass. SO frustrating.

No way should Andersson get scratched. I was at the game in Vancouver Saturday night and the player that stood out the most to me (other than Datsyuk and Zetterberg) was Andersson. The guy was winning faceoffs, blocking shots, back checking, stealing the puck playing like a defensive phenom and creating scoring chances. It was a treat to watch. This guy should be our permanent 4th line center when Helm returns.

If we trade Filppula this year, and lose Datsyuk next year...I think Jarnkrok will be more than capable of stepping into the lineup as the 2nd line center for the 2014-15 season. Does anyone agree?

While bringing up Nyquist is great news, sending down Tatar sucks. Babcock better put Nyquist into the top 6 and I also think its time that Eaves gets a game up there. These are the lines I would start the game with. Nyquist- Zetterberg - Brunner Franzen - Datsyuk - Eaves Cleary - Andersson - Abdelkdaer Miller - Emmerton - Tootoo Thoughts? EDIT: Just heard that Filppula might be back for Wednesday and that they are practising with these lines: Filppula - Zetterberg - Brunner Franzen - Datsyuk - Nyquist Abdelkader - Andersson - Cleary Miller - Emmerton - Tootoo Eaves That top 6 looks not bad at all.

This. The frustrating part is seeing the kids produce and compete night in night out at the NHL level and get sent down when we have Cleary, and Abdelkader on our "2nd line" while struggling to score goals. Its sad that Tatar Nyquist and Andersson will all eventually get sent back down at some point this season as the team gets healthy.

I honestly don't believe that the Red Wings will (or need) to do much in the off season. 1st. re-sign Howard and Brunner 2nd. Try to re-sign Filppula...if this fails GO BIG and try to land Perry... this fails, Nyquist and Tatar get to play with Datsyuk. 3rd. re-sign Smith and Kindl 4th. Bring up Nyquist and Tatar full time. 5th. Cleary, Miller, White, Huskins trade/walk 6th. Berrtuzzi LTIR Franzen - Zetterberg - Brunner Nyquist - Datsyuk - Perry/Filppula Tatar - Helm - Samuelsson Abdelkader - Andersson - Tootoo Emmerton,Eaves - extra If our D keeps playing the way they are, they stay the same. If they struggle sign Dekeyser. Am I the only one who wants to see this: Franzen - Zetterberg - Brunner Tatar - Datsyuk - Andersson Cleary - Abdelkader - Eaves Miller - Emmerton - Tootoo I think Tatar and Andersson have shown far more hustle, urgency and drive than Cleary and Abdelkader and should be rewarded by Playing with Datsyuk.

I fully agree with that set of D but along with Dekeyser, I also want the Wings to snag Andrej Sustr. This kid is 6'8" 225 and is becoming a beast at both ends of the ice. If we went into next season with: Kronwall, Ericcson, Smith, Quincey, Dekeyser, Lashoff, Kindl, Sustr I think that we will be in good shape for many years considering the young D talent we have somehow put together in the last couple of years.

I think I will throw up if Cleary is re-signed.

I honestly believe that we will have a solid top 4 when healthy. Kronwall - Ericsson Smith - Lashoff Then we have Quincey, Colaiacovo, Kindl and Huskins to fight for the last 2 spots. I would go with Kindl and Quincey I think, waive Huskins to GR and let Colaiacovo be the 7th guy.

How Cleary is still on this team instead of Nyquist I just dont know... GIVE ME A BRUNNER HAT TRICK!
