I think Alfie sitting isn't a huge deal as he's been rather ineffective lately. I'd rather see Callahan in over Bert, but I don't think it's that huge of a difference.

That line up looks amazing. That's even without Weiss! If Smith can continue to play well, same for Q, then I think this team could be deadly in the playoffs. Dat forward corps is absolutely filthy.

It's mainly just the entry. Once they have possession it looks pretty good. The Wings just have a hard time breaking the line when the defense is standing them up.

The growth of the rookies is really a breath of fresh air for the team. That is exactly what it needed since 2010. Unfortunately, now that they have that, they are missing a new ingredient; the 2 team leaders. If the Wings had 1 of Dats, or Z they would probably be in 5 or 6th place in the east.

Franzen has been going short side on like 90% of his shots. Last time it worked was against ottawa.

Right, but they were so bad that I couldn't focus on anything else. Just because you don't like Franzen doesn't mean he should be on the 4th line. The fact is, he's better than 9 other players on this team. Or at the very least, he's better than 6 other forwards. So either way, he will be on the 1st or 2nd line. -

Outside of the kid line i don't think anybody had a particularly good game. Even the kid line got hemmed in their own zone for entire shifts. Howard made some big saves, but he couldn't single handedly will the team to victory, which he shouldn't have to. Honestly I don't know what this team needs. Probably for kindl and bert to not be on it. Outside of that I don't know what will work.
