I'm in for $22.18, but I will round up to $25 so I can remember how much I have to pay

    Money On The Board!

My favorite time of the year! I'll do (sort of, I think) the same pledge as last year, because it was so fun to keep track! x cents per goal, based on scorer's jersey number. 1/2x for assists, 2x for power play goals and 3x for a shorty. Each game I'll also do something different, based on that game only. Game 1 vs Tampa will be 13c per Datsyuk faceoff win. LGW!!

Red Wings add Jim Hiller and Andrew Brewer to coaching staff

As a former Wildcat, this makes me happy

    Eaves is OUT in Nashville

I really liked Eaves. He worked hard and just seemed like an all-around nice guy. Plus, he is (was?) the only Wing that I have an autograph from I hope he can find a place somewhere and have a productive, healthy season.

4th Annual Playoff Money On The Board!

I'm fine with honoring Gordy. Another option could also be for Tatar's late father, Jan.

4th Annual Playoff Money On The Board!

Ended up with $31.66, I'll round to $32. Thanks again, I know the Children's Hospital will appreciate it!

Z's beard is so majestic and glorious.

4th Annual Playoff Money On The Board!

In honor of Datsyuk's new arrival, I will also pledge an additional $5 per Datsyuk goal and $3 per Datsyuk assist for tonight's game. (Am I the only one who totally missed that he was re-married AND had a pregnant wife?) Edit: just read that Kronwall's child has also been born, so same goes for him.

4th Annual Playoff Money On The Board!

I have been looking forward to this, thanks Vladdy! I am going to pledge similarly to last year (I can't remember exactly): X cents per goal based on scorer's jersey number. Double for pp goals and triple for shorties. Half for assists. i'll round up for odd numbers. Before each game I will also choose a stat/pledge for that game only. Game 1 will be five cents per SOG. GO WINGS!

I predict "subtle interference" will be brought up at the 13:00 mark, +\- 30 seconds.

    Olympic Hockey Streams?

If you have almost any major cable/dish provider, you can use your account info to access the NBC Olympics streams for free, and not just for the first 30 minutes.

Official 2014 Olympic Hockey Thread (Admin warning #316)

Finland? More like Winland, amirite?! In all seriousness though, I'm bummed for Pav but I'm glad he will have a few extra days rest.

    Zetterberg out with herniated disc

I believe he is scheduled to fly back to the states Tuesday and will be evaluated after that.

    Zetterberg out with herniated disc

I feel bad for Z. FWIW, I have had back problems since I was around 20 (almost 28 now), and I can go months or longer being just fine, and then the dumbest, seemingly innocuous thing will happen and I will have to start all over. I am a funeral director so I do a lot of heavy lifting all the time and be great and then I will take the slightest slip on some ice or lift a laundry basket or something not even worth noting to myself and it will start. Sometimes it is even 2-3 days before the inflammation kicks in to cause pain. For all we know, the long plane ride could have been enough on Z. I hope he has a productive, long-term recovery, not only for his hockey career but for his lifetime.

NHL players will not participate in 2018 Olympics (Mod Post #99)

Are you referring to awarding 2018 to South Korea? They sent 71 athletes, which is something like 14th largest out of the 88 delegations. So yeah, they are into the Winter Games.

What's wrong with Pasha? (Mod warning post #57)

How about this conspiracy theory: Pavel is injured and cannot play for the Wings yet. He has been rehabbing his injury, with a timeline that happens to clear him around the start of the Olympics, and it has nothing to do with not wanting to play for the Wings. See? That wasn't so hard.

    Sabres' Scott offered in-person hearing.

I remember John Scott when he played for Michigan Tech (I went to Northern Michigan, so our teams were bitter rivals). He was nothing but a goon then, and he obviously hasn't changed.

Phoenix Coyotes' Paul Bissonnette to appeal suspension.

He changed his twitter account to biznasty2point0, which he keeps active. There is nothing on there since 9/14, however.

Money on the Board - playoff style!

My total was $20.98 so I just rounded up to $25. Thanks again for taking care of this!

Money on the Board - playoff style!

I'm in for $12.19 after the first round! I also decided I'll be doubling the series totals for round 2, tripling for 3 etc.

Money on the Board - playoff style!

I updated my first post and sig, but wanted to add that I will be factoring in multi-goal games as well-double for two goals, triple for a hatty, etc. Last night Mule cost me $5.76 with just his two goals, hopefully he keeps it up and breaks the bank!

Money on the Board - playoff style!

I'm going to pledge X cents for each scoring jersey number (example: 13 cents each time Datsyuk scores, etc) with double for powerplay goals and triple for shorties. I'll keep track of it myself (and will round up generously!) Edit: I forgot to add that I will also factor in multi-goal games!

WCQF: (7) Red Wings vs. (2) Ducks

Slightly OT, but is anyone planning on setting up the playoff charity fundraiser LGW has done the past few years?
