Hmmmmm, Kindl getting regular shifts against other teams' top lines? I think I'll pass on that & get my scares from horror movies over Halloween instead. Easier on the heart that way.
-
Hopefully those calls aren't "Sure we're interested in taking Kindl off your hands, but you'll need to sweeten the deal a bit. How about that Mantha kid?".
-
If it happens, it will probably be for a 7th round pick & the Wings will have to eat half his salary to move him.

NHL Gamecenter Live **No illegal stream discussion**

Might want to read the FAQs about Gamecenter blackouts on the NHL's site here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/ziplookup.htm?q=48201 You'll find one of the paragraphs in particular rather interesting. -
2014 Prospects Tournament and Training Camp (Sept. 12-23)

Got to wonder how further along he would be if Little Bert hadn't goaded him into the fight that screwed up his shoulder in last year's development camp. -

Looks like Jensen, Marchenko, & Ouellet are considered the front runners to take spots with Sproul & Backman being sent down. Just hope they are given a legitimate shot yet at taking Kindl & Lashoff's jobs to start the season, especially with how bad those two looked against the Pens last night. -
Holland interview with Mickey comment about a trade

Yeah, they would be "fine" from a salary cap standpoint but that would still leave their roster in a mess. Savard on LTIR & waiving Miller give them 2 roster spots to fill and only $1.193m to do it. Based on what they have in their pipeline, they either: Recall a combo of their 3rd or 5th best left wing prospect, 5th best right wing prospect, 3rd best center prospect, or career AHLers to round out the roster to 23. FYI none of the prospects whose salary combos fit their remaining cap space at that point are rated in their top 10 overall or are predicted to pan out in the NHL. Sign a couple of FAs at or near league minimum. Jordan Tootoo, say hi to Boston maybe? Bring Villie Leino back too? Sign 2 of their currently unsigned prospects & slap them on the NHL roster. Recall one their prospects closer to making the jump which they can only afford one of & spend the year with only 22 players on the big club when the team is healthy. So can they survive without trading off one of their extra d-men? Probably but those other choices look like they are "scraping by" measures & personally I think that Chiarelli would want to do more than just scrape when it comes to the roster. All signs point to them trading off a d-man & Boychuk does seem to be the logical choice. -

Yes, that does include Savard whose cap hit will come off on the final day of pre-season. Once that happens, Boston is $393k under the cap but only have 12 forwards on the roster & 8 d-men. They can't just sign a 13th forward for that $393k given that the minimum salary is $550k this season so odds are high that Boychuck will be dealt & the Bruins will bring 2 more forwards on board. -
Babcock quote about Jurco... Possible shot at Holland?
ogreslayer replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
That would leave Alfie with Weiss & Franzen if he does return, Nyquist up with D & Z, and Helmer back to the 4th line. We're months away from this though. IMO if Alfie does return, it will be right around New Years or a little later. -

The FCC ruling will have no effect on blackouts at all. All the ruling means is that sports leagues no longer have government backing to support blacking out games if they aren't sell outs. The leagues still have private blackout rules baked into their contracts with broadcasters that extend beyond simple rules for non-sellout games, like only getting access to out of market games by paying for Sunday Ticket, Extra Innings, or Center Ice. Basically if you're not in Michigan where FSD is considered your local market, you will not be able to see non-nationally televised Wings' games without Center Ice or Gamecenter Live. (Legally that is, not that I condone illegal means) Simply buying a sports pack that gives you access to all of the local Fox Sports channels will mean you can watch everything else they broadcast but you'll still be blacked out from the actual games. -
Injured Datsyuk 2nd degree separated shoulder injury - out approx 4 weeks

Helmer with the broken nose already: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2014/09/red_wings_pavel_datsyuk_should.html -
Just one year I would like to see them change it to Comic Sans in the preseason to really throw everyone off.
-
Not the sole reason but if Mantha had impressed enough to make the team, that pretty much would guarantee Jurco would start the year in GR at least in my opinion. With one less body to compete against, his chances of sticking with the big club at the start of the year improve dramatically, especially without Alfie around & his main competition being Callahan & Ferraro who I still think would both make it through waivers.
-
At least it was sort of hockey related & not from kicking a wall like an idiot... (said while glancing towards Josh Harding)
-
Can't link to it from work, but Khan's just tweeted that Mantha's out 6-8 weeks with a broken right tibia. Khan via Malik: http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/anthony-mantha-out-6-8-weeks-with-broken-tibia Guess that means Jurco will start the season with the big club.

Signed Dekeyser signed. 2 yrs $2.187 million AAV
ogreslayer replied to FireCaptain's topic in General
There were many more things wrong with the prequels beyond the plot holes. I mean really, they could have signed Dan Cleary to play a role in them & it would have been an improvement. -

And saying so is an absolute, which in turn means you're Sith? -
I believe he takes a suitcase full of these when he goes to Vegas:

So this should end the debate, yes? Silvan Schweizer @SchweizerSilvan 4h Raphael #Diaz accepts the invitation for tryout of the #CalgaryFlames, joins Bob #Hartley and Sven #Baertschi in Camp.

So would there be no hooking penalties at all when playing in Nevada?

??? Well whatever they call them, I'm sure that a decade after they start they'll be forced to use Nevada instead of Las Vegas when they move to a new arena in Henderson or Boulder City.

Larkin's not attending because NCAA players can't. NCAA violation if he does, I believe. In fact IIRC, NCAA players who attend the development camp like Larkin did in July, have to foot their own bill to attend because of NCAA regs. Edit...Info under the NHL section on development camps here: http://collegehockeyinc.com/faq#chl
