    It is when van Riemsdyk barely touched him, I doubt you've played hockey and know how insignificant that contact was.

    Really, you're gonna go there? How much hockey I've played has nothing to do with the point that I was trying to make, which is that without the benefit of replay, van Riemsdyk's stick clearly making contact no matter how insignificant, and the fact that Stralman stayed down and acted as though he was hurt, I can see how that was called a penalty.

    Either Stralman is the biggest cream puff in the history of professional hockey, or that was the best sell I've ever seen. Hard not to make that call when the guy goes down in a heap, stays down, then limps off the ice and continues to sell it on the bench.

    Theoretically (although highly unlikely) it's possible for the Flames to squeak in as a #8 seed.

    Flames in 7 over the Pens would be the most heartbreaking SCF ever. It would be worse than Hossa losing in '09. I'd almost have to root against Hudler if that happened.

    Abby. It was only two games, right at the end of the year when we already had the President's Trophy locked up, but I think he stayed on as black ace for the Cup run.

    Riley Sheahan also got a game in Detroit & 7 in GR after signing out of Notre Dame at the end of last season.

    Difference is that both Abdelkader and Sheahan were drafted by the Wings previously, and just happened to sign their pro deals and play in the same year. I don't know if the Wings have ever signed an undrafted free agent out of college, let alone sign and play in the same year. If and when we reach a deal with Dekeyser, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a game or two in with the big club before being sent down to GR for a bigger role, then get the black-ace call up once GR's season is over.
