I can't believe they didn't have any coverage of the alumni games. They showed Mario skating for like five minutes during the Pittsburgh Classic a few years ago, why not this year? I was highly anticipating seeing interviews with the Russian Five.

Valenti & Foster like to stir the pot and play devil's advocate. Valenti likes to say things for shock value. Like others have said, they can bring up the latest NFL player arrest and fill four hours with that topic. You should check out Karsch & Anderson, OP. They've talked hockey for a few hours especially if it's the show after a game.

Babcock and Ken Holland were pretty cool. I asked Babs if he were going to watch the World Juniors, he was like "O ya I watch it every year."

I can't say Michigan Tech's rink has any quirks, other than having steep seats that make you feel like you're on top of the ice, and the two benches are separated to one per side. I used to skate at the "Oskar Dome" right outside Houghton. It's basically an outdoor rink with walls and a roof. No zamboni, no refrigerant to chill the ice, it's pretty cool. There are boards, but has chain link fence where the glass should be.

Well, at least their wives will be happy, and they can baptize their children in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

I'm hoping he shows up to a presser and says "I have good news and bad news. Good news is I'm coming back next year. Bad news is this will be my last year." That way we know when he leaves and can give him a proper finale at the Joe and whatnot.
